CHARLOTTE SOPHIA: MYTH, MADNESS AND THE MOOR (HBO Max, New!) - The streamer has acquired the film and TV rights to Tina Andrews's historical novel, about "a young German Princess whom the British did not know was a woman of color. She becomes Queen in an arranged marriage to King George III." David M. Thompson will executive produce alongside Andrews, who will pen the script. (Deadline.com)
EDUCATION OF MATT BARNES, THE (Showtime, New!) - Writer Matt Pyken and director Pete Chatmon have sold a potential comedy to the pay channel based on the life of the former NBA Champion Matt Barnes, billed as "a look at Barnes' real life after 14 years in the NBA - and his journey to the stardom he never achieved on the hardwood. It's the story of how a single dad from Encino balances home, business, activism and relationships while navigating the temptations of the celebrity-centric, Instagram and TikTok universe of LA." The project is set up at the Lionsgate Television-based The Tannenbaum Company with Barnes, Eric Tannenbaum and Kim Tannenbaum also executive producing and Jason Wang co-executive producing. EPIC (ABC) - Toby Sebastian is set to star opposite Sarah Hyland in the drama pilot as Philippe: "Described as the quintessential storybook prince, Philippe is following what he believes is his destined path to True Love when he finds himself at a surprising crossroads, leading him to question everything he held dear." EVIL (CBS) - The series reportedly plans to relocate to Paramount+ for its yet-to-be-released second season. (Deadline.com)
FOODTASTIC (Disney+) - Emmy-nominated voiceover veteran Anthony Mendez will serve as narrator of the upcoming food art competition series. (Variety.com)
HART TO HEART (Peacock) - Kevin Hart revealed during today's NBCUniversal Upfront two other projects in the works at the streamer, in addition to the interview series: a series about the world's dumbest criminals hosted by Snoop Dogg; and a comedy sports news show, hosted by Hart and Snoop Dogg. Both efforts presumably come from Hart's Laugh Out Loud network. (Deadline.com)

LOST FLOWERS OF ALICE HART, THE (Amazon, New!) - Sigourney Weaver is attached to star in a small screen take on Holly Ringland's book, which "follows a young girl, Alice Hart, whose violent childhood casts a dark shadow over her adult life. After a family tragedy in which she loses both her abusive father and beloved mother in a tragic and mysterious fire, nine-year-old Alice is taken to live with her grandmother June on a flower farm where she learns that there are secrets within secrets about her and her family's past." Made Up Stories, Amazon Studios and Endeavor Content are behind the seven-part series, which will be filmed in Australia. Weaver, writer Sarah Lambert, director Glendyn Ivin, Jodi Matterson, Bruna Papandrea, Steve Hutensky and Allie Goss are the executive producers with Barbara Gibbs producing and Lucinda Reynolds as a co-executive producer. NCIS: HAWAI'I (CBS) - Noah Mills is the latest to board the spin-off series as Jesse, "a former big city homicide detective who's settled in a new life in Hawai'i. An expert interrogator with knack for good old fashioned police work, but Jesse's also a devoted family man who runs 4-H camping trips for his kid. He knows every nook and cranny of the island's hiking trails. He's worked with Tennant (Lachey Lachey) the longest and is her lieutenant and sometimes confidant." (Variety.com)
PASSWORD (NBC, New!) - Jimmy Fallon is attached to a proposed reboot of the game show staple, in which "two teams, composed of a celebrity player and a contestant, attempt to convey mystery words to each other using only single-word clues in order to win a cash prize."
