CBS won a combined seven awards at the 48TH ANNUAL DAYTIME EMMY(R) AWARDS on Friday evening. The show, which was hosted by Sheryl Underwood and broadcast on the CBS Television Network and available streaming and on demand on the CBS app and Paramount+, presented the awards in leading categories, with additional winners announced on social media.

The CBS Television Network was recognized with four awards, including Outstanding Performance by a Lead Actress (Jaqueline MacInnes Wood) for THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL, Outstanding Performance by a Supporting Actress (Marla Adams) and Outstanding Writing Team for THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, and Outstanding Morning Show for CBS SUNDAY MORNING.

CBS Media Ventures received three awards, including Outstanding Game Show and Outstanding Game Show Host (Alex Trebek) for JEOPARDY! and Outstanding Entertainment News Program for ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT.

In addition, in a touching moment, Dr. Jill Biden, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Robin Roberts and Ken Jeong made special appearances to pay tribute to the late Alex Trebek.

Nominees for both the Daytime Emmy(R) Awards Children's Programming & Animation and the Daytime Emmy(R) Awards Lifestyle Programming categories will be announced on Monday, June 28, 2021 at 12pm ET/9am PT.
