BETTER CALL SAUL (AMC) - Series star Bob Odenkirk "collapsed on the show's New Mexico set on Tuesday." Adding, "The 58-year-old Odenkirk fell to the ground and was rushed to the hospital, where he remains. His condition is unknown." Production on the final season had been underway in New Mexico since March. (Deadline.com)
CHICAGO PARTY AUNT (Netflix, New!) - Chris Witaske has scored a 16-episode order from the streamer for an adult animated comedy inspired by his Twitter account, which "follows Diane Dunbrowski, aka the Chicago Party Aunt, as she stays true to her mantra, 'If life gives you lemons, turn that shit into Mike's Hard Lemonade.'" Jon Barinholtz and Katie Rich co-created the project, which will roll out its first eight episodes on Friday, September 17, alongside Witaske. The voice ensemble includes Lauren Ash (Diane Dunbrowski), Rory O'Malley (Daniel), RuPaul Charles (Gideon), Jill Talley (Bonnie), Ike Barinholtz (Mark), Jon Barinholtz (Mikey) and Da'Vine Joy Randolph (Tina) as well as Rich (Zuzana) and Witaske (Kurt). 23/34's Ike Barinholtz and Dave Stassen; Olive Bridge Entertainment's Will Gluck and Richie Schwartz; Titmouse's Chris Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio and Ben Kalina; and showrunner Matt Craig are also executive producing. FIRST LADY, THE (Showtime) - Lily Rabe has been cast in the anthology series as Lorena "Hick" Hickock, "a pioneering American journalist, who by 1932 became America's best-known female reporter and was a devoted friend and mentor to Eleanor Roosevelt. After 3,000 of their mutual letters were discovered, the nature of the relationship between Hick and Eleanor became the subject of much debate." (Deadline.com)
GETAWAY (NBC) - Marg Helgenberger, Matt Long, Jasmine Mathews and E.J. Bonilla have joined the cast of the Annie Ilonzeh-led drama pilot, in which a destination wedding at an isolated luxury resort quickly descends into chaos after a group of dangerous criminals takes the island hostage. Mathews and Long play the bride and groom, Jack Pierce and Grace Rowland, with Helgenberger as Jack's Charlotte Pierce, "a senior Democratic senator from New York"; and Bonilla as Rafi Salinas, who "claims to be a fisherman on the run with his friends from a gang of cartel members, but he's hiding a dark secret that will put everyone at the resort in danger." Bonilla is a regular on "The Old Man," currently on hold due as Jeff Bridges undergoes cancer treatment; while Long was part of the canceled "Manifest," which is eyed for a resurrection. It's understood efforts will be made to make both commitments work. (Deadline.com)

MARY HARTMAN, MARY HARTMAN (TBS, New!) - The cable channel has landed the Emily Hampshire-led reboot of Norman Lear's 1976-77 series, "about a small-town woman (Hampshire) who feels like a nobody in every aspect of her life until she suddenly becomes a 'Verified' social media somebody after her nervous breakdown goes viral." Hampshire is also penning the Sony Pictures Television-based project alongside Jacob Tierney with Lear and Brent Miller of Act III Productions likewise executive producing. (Deadline.com)
NEVER HAVE I EVER (A.K.A. UNTITLED LIZ BRIXIUS PROJECT) (FOX) - The network's small screen take on Joshilyn Jackson's novel is being redeveloped with Heather Mitchell writing and Minnesota Logging Co.' Jenna Bans and Casey Kyber executive producing alongside Jackson as well as Appian Way's Leonardo DiCaprio, Michael Hampton and Jennifer Davisson. Liz Brixius had behind the previous incarnation in 2020. Universal Television and FOX Entertainment remain on board as co-producers on the project, which has a penalty attached. (Deadline.com)
PRETTY LITTLE LIARS: ORIGINAL SIN (HBO Max) - Bailee Madison has booked a lead role on the reboot series as Imogen, "a true survivor. Like all of the Liars, Imogen is a final girl. She will drive the mystery of uncovering 'A' as she fights for her life and the lives of her friends." Chandler Kinney and Maia Reficco also star. (Deadline.com)
SINNER, THE (USA) - Joe Cobden will recur on the show's fourth season as Lou Raskin, "the beloved Chief of Police on Hanover Island who enjoys the simple life and knows most residents by name." (Deadline.com)
