AP BIO (Peacock) - Bruce Campbell will guest on the show's fourth season as John Griffin, "father of Glenn Howerton's Jack Griffin in the series. An absent father to Jack most of his life, he recently had a spiritual awakening with hopes to reconnect with his adult son." (Deadline.com)
BETTER CAUL SAUL (AMC) - Bob Odenkirk took to social media with the news he is recovering from a small heart attack: "Hi. It's Bob. Thank you. To my family and friends who have surrounded me this week. And for the outpouring of love from everyone who expressed concern and care for me. It's overwhelming. But I feel the love and it means so much. I had a small heart attack. But I'm going to be ok thanks to Rosa Estrada and the doctors who knew how to fix the blockage without surgery. Also, AMC and SONYs support and help throughout this has been next-level. I'm going to take a beat to recover but I'll be back soon." (@mrbobodenkirk)
CRIMINAL MINDS (REBOOT SERIES) (Paramount+) - The show's revival is "still very much in development" despite comments from original series co-star Paget Brewster on Thursday indicating the project is dead. (TVLine.com)
FIRST LADY, THE (Showtime) - Clea DuVall and Charlie Plummer are the latest to recur on the anthology series. DuVall will play Malvina "Tommy" Thompson: "Eleanor Roosevelt's trusted assistant, secretary, traveling companion, gatekeeper and dear friend. Irreverent, funny, and a shrewd judge of character, Tommy was utterly devoted to Eleanor and together they trailblazed women's advocacy, taking no prisoners as they went." And Plummer is young Franklin Delano Roosevelt: "Born into a famously patrician American family, Franklin quickly shed all that in the New York Senate for a life of service to his country. He married Eleanor in 1905, and though he was stricken by polio in 1921, his youthful resilience and vitality predicted great political success." (Deadline.com)
HARD CELL (Netflix) - The Catherine Tate-led mockumentary series has cast Christian Brassington as Dean; Niky Wardley as Anastasia; Lorna Brown as Cal; Caroline Harding as Sal; Jola Olajide as Charlee; and Duncan Wisbey as Martin. No other details were given. (Deadline.com)
SWAT (CBS) - The Los Angeles County Health Department has reported a COVID-19 outbreak on the show's Santa Clarita Studios with reportedly five cases. Filming however has not been affected. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED MARLEE MATLIN PROJECT (NBC, New!) - Oscar winner Marlee Matlin is attached to star in a single-camera comedy at the network "set in the cutthroat, fast-paced world of sign language interpreting. The workplace comedy centers around a medium-sized interpreting agency in Los Angeles managed by DJ (Matlin), who's both overextended and overconfident." Ben Shelton is penning the project, which has a penalty attached, for Universal Television. Matlin, Shelton, Jack Jason and Kapital Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan are the executive producers.
