9-1-1 (FOX) - Co-stars Angela Bassett, Peter Krause, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Aisha Hinds, Rockmond Dunbar, Kenneth Choi, Oliver Stark and Ryan Guzman have all closed new deals on the series, securing pay increases in the process. (Deadline.com)
AND JUST LIKE THAT... (HBO Max) - Julie Halston will recur on the "Sex and the City" revival as Bitsy Von Muffling, "a New York socialite who married flamboyant cabaret singer Bobby Fine in the season 5 episode of the HBO original." (Deadline.com)
BEL-AIR (Peacock) - T.J. Brady and Rasheed Newson have been named showrunners of the reboot series. They'll succeed original showrunner Chris Collins, who departed in December, and his subsequent replacement, Diane Houston. Said changes come as the series is "going in a slightly different creative direction." Malcolm Spellman will also serve as an executive producer. (THR.com)
BIG SKY (ABC) - Britt Robertson and Michelle Forbes, both of whom recurred on the series' freshman run, won't return for its sophomore season. (TVLine.com)
BRIDGERTON (Netflix) - Production on the series has resumed "after two abrupt halts due to COVID-19 cases." (Variety.com)
COUNTDOWN: INSPIRATION4 MISSION TO SPACE (Netflix, New!) - The streamer will roll out a near real-time docuseries next month "following the September launch and mission of the first all-civilian flight crew aboard the SpaceX capsule." Jason Hehir will direct and executive produce alongside Connor Schell, Libby Geist and Aaron Cohen for Words & Pictures; Ian Orefice, Alexa Conway and Rebecca Gitlitz for Time Studios; and Ross Martin, Brad Roth and Mark Feldstein for Known. Jonathan D. Woods and Jake Rogal are the producers. Episodes 1-2 premiere on September 6; followed by episodes 3-4 on September 13; "A StoryBots Space Adventure" on September 14; the launch itself on September 15; and a feature-length finale at the end of the month. DROPOUT, THE (Hulu) - The limited series has cast Dylan Minnette as Tyler Shultz, "a biology major at the University of Stanford, and the grandson of George Shultz"; Alan Ruck as Jay Rosan, who "works for Walgreens at the corporate headquarters in Chicago as part of the 'Innovation Team'"; Bashir Salahuddin as Brendan Morris, "a lead electrical engineer at Elizabeth's start-up, who takes the company's tech in a different direction"; Mary Lynn Rajskub as Lorraine Fuisz, "Richard Fuisz's (Wiliam H. Macy) wife"; Hart Bochner as Larry Ellison, who is "interested in Elizabeth's cutting-edge home healthcare innovation"; James Hiroyuki Liao as Edmond Ku, "head of engineering at Elizabeth's start-up"; Nicky Endres as Ana Arriola, "a big designer at Apple, who Elizabeth recruited"; Camryn Mi-Young Kim as Erika Cheung, "a recent Berkeley graduate, she makes the decision to skip grad school to work at Theranos"; and Andrew Leeds as Roland, "the 'Yes Man' to the CFO of Walgreen's." LAW & ORDER: ORGANIZED CRIME (NBC) - Ron Cephas Jones and Vinnie Jones have scored recurring roles on the series. Cephas Jones will play Congressman Leon Kilbride, "a born politician who fosters connections and always plays his cards right." And Jones will portray Albi Briscu, "an Eastern European gangster who is the last remaining member of the organization from the old country." (Deadline.com)
