AGENCY (Netflix, New!) - Mara Brock Akil's Story27 is developing a new drama at the streamer: "Inspired by the real lives of iconic sports agents, Aaron and Eric Goodwin, Agency follows two Black brothers from Oakland whose relationships to each other and their family are tested when they form a sports agency to disrupt the industry and the culture." No other auspices were given. (THR.com)
ASTRONAUT CHICKS (Netflix, New!) - Mara Brock Akil's Story27 has set up a potential comedy at the streamer: "In a speculative near future, four young, female Black friends challenge each other to live a fly life, launch some dreams, and land on some purpose." (THR.com)
BABYLON 5 (REBOOT SERIES) (The CW, New!) - J. Michael Straczynski is developing a "from-the-ground-up reboot" of his critically acclaimed 1990s series at the netlet, which "revolves around John Sheridan (played by Bruce Boxleitner in the original series), an Earthforce officer with a mysterious background, who is assigned to Babylon 5, a five-mile-long space station in neutral space, a port of call for travelers, smugglers, corporate explorers and alien diplomats at a time of uneasy peace and the constant threat of war. His arrival triggers a destiny beyond anything he could have imagined, as an exploratory Earth company accidentally triggers a conflict with a civilization a million years ahead of us, putting Sheridan and the rest of the B5 crew in the line of fire as the last, best hope for the survival of the human race." Warner Bros. Television and Studio JMS are producing. (Deadline.com)
FOREVER (Netflix, New!) - Mara Brock Akil is looking to bring Judy Blume's novel to the small screen as a drama series at Netflix: "In this inspired-by adaptation of Judy Blume's YA romance novel, Forever, two Black high schoolers in Los Angeles navigate first love and intimacy amidst social and parental pressures." She'll executive produce via her Story27 banner. (THR.com)
IRON MIKE (Hulu) - Russell Hornsby has been tapped to play Don King in the Hulu limited series about Mike Tyson, played by Trevante Rhodes. King is described as "ruthlessly ambitious with a flashy personality. He is a notorious boxing promoter that takes Tyson's boxing career to the next level. He's a businessman; strategic, resilient, knowing how to work everything in his favor. However, much of his arrogance might be hiding a deeper vulnerability. While others may focus on the little details, King has his eyes on the prize - always thinking of the bigger picture." Production is underway on the eight-episode series. (Variety.com)
LAW & ORDER: SVU (NBC) - Danny Pino will reprise his role of Detective Nick Amaro for the series' upcoming 500th episode, entitled "The Five Hundredth Episode." (GiveMeMyRemote.com)

(Deadline.com)

RESIDENT ALIEN (Syfy) - Alex Borstein will drop by the upcoming season as Carlyn, "Kate Hawthorne's cousin from out of town. The 'frizzy-haired, right-brained laser-physicist' has a great job working in a tech lab, though her love life is borderline non-existent. But when she rolls through Patience to visit her family and do some sightseeing, Carlyn homes in on someone strange: good ol' Harry V." Additionally, Linda Hamilton and Terry O'Quinn will both return after appearing in the show's freshman run. (TVLine.com)
