MTV taps Diplo and Swae Lee for first-ever TV performance of "Tupelo Shuffle" from the highly-anticipated ELVIS Original Motion Picture Soundtrack LIVE at the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards

Epic one-night only global event airs Sunday, June 5th at 8PM ET/PT, followed by Movie & TV Awards: UNSCRIPTED at 10PM ET/PT

· Diplo and Swae Lee will take the stage at the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards for the first-ever LIVE televised performance of "Tupelo Shuffle," from the ELVIS Original Motion Picture Soundtrack via House of Iona/RCA Records - click here to listen.

· The track features Gary Clark Jr. (who plays Arthur "Big Boy" Crudup in the film) and Austin Butler (who gives voice to Elvis Presley on the track and plays him in the film).

· The soundtrack is set to be released the same date as Baz Luhrmann's forthcoming film ELVIS, June 24th, starring Austin Butler and Tom Hanks.

· Named after Tupelo, Mississippi, "Tupelo Shuffle" holds great significance to both Swae Lee and Diplo as it's not only both of their hometowns, but the hometown of Elvis Presley as well. With that special connection, this single became a notable collaboration giving homage to a place both artists share with Elvis.

· Hosted by Vanessa Hudgens, the epic one-night only global event airs LIVE from Barker Hangar on Sunday, June 5th at 8PM ET/PT, followed by Movie & TV Awards: UNSCRIPTED, hosted by Tayshia Adams, at 10PM ET/PT.

· BIOS:

· DIPLO - Born Thomas Wesley Pentz, Diplo is one of the most dynamic forces in music today. He is legend on his own; a member of the now iconic Major Lazer, which most recently released Music Is The Weapon, their first album in five years; one third of LSD, the psychedelic supergroup with Sia and Labrinth whose debut album has been streamed over three billion times; and half of Silk City with Mark Ronson, whose Platinum-certified "Electricity" with Dua Lipa topped charts worldwide and won a Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording. Full bio here.

· SWAE LEE - For over half a decade, musician Swae Lee has been connected to making chart-worthy hits, both as a solo artist or part of Rae Sremmurd. His name is synonymous with intoxicating melodies, as the 27-year-old wunderkid has carved a lane for himself that few have traveled. With his new single "Dance Like No One's Watching" and the release of his upcoming album Human Nature, Swae Lee continues his track record of crafting songs that not only move the needle, but reinvent the wheel. Full bio here.
