CBS News and Stations will deliver comprehensive multiplatform coverage, including primetime specials on the CBS Television Network and CBS News Streaming, of the hearings by the House committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol, beginning this week.

CBS EVENING NEWS anchor and managing editor Norah O'Donnell will lead CBS News' primetime coverage on Thursday, June 9 at approximately 8:00 PM, ET on the CBS Television Network for the House panel's first public hearing. CBS News' primetime coverage will be simulcast on CBS News Streaming with all CBS News broadcasts and platforms delivering coverage around the hearing. CBS News' coverage will make full use of the Network's state-of-the-art Washington studio, including an interactive touch screen that will help viewers to visualize the U.S. Capitol, both inside and out, and better understand the events of Jan. 6.

Joining O'Donnell for the special coverage Thursday night will be an unrivaled team of CBS News correspondents that has closely reported on and advanced the story of the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol:

· John Dickerson, who was a part of CBS News' hours-long coverage on Jan. 6 with Norah O'Donnell, and as CBS News' chief political analyst has offered unparalleled context about the state of politics and American democracy today.

· CBS News chief election and campaign correspondent Robert Costa who, along with The Washington Post's Bob Woodward, broke the story of previously unseen text messages from a Supreme Court justice's spouse about overturning the 2020 election. Reporting from Costa and Woodward's #1 international bestseller, Peril, has also been cited by the Jan. 6 committee in numerous subpoenas it has issued over the past year.

· CBS News chief White House correspondent Nancy Cordes, who brought more than a decade of congressional reporting to her coverage from Capitol Hill as rioters stormed the U.S. Capitol and as Donald Trump became the first American president in history to be impeached twice.

· CBS News chief national affairs and justice correspondent Jeff Pegues, who reported from the U.S. Capitol grounds as violence erupted on Jan. 6 and has continued his distinctive coverage of the Department of Justice and its role in prosecuting those involved in the day's events.

· CBS News congressional correspondents Nikole Killion, who has reported on Congress' deeply partisan atmosphere through numerous interviews with elected officials, and Scott MacFarlane, who has been unrelenting in his meticulous coverage of prosecutions against members of the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers and what the House committee hopes to accomplish with the investigation.

The CBS News Streaming Network will have special, live coverage of each of the House select committee's public hearings. The additional hearings, which are scheduled to begin on June 13, will air on the CBS Television Network and be available to stream on the CBS News mobile apps. Uninterrupted coverage will be available to watch at CBSNews.com/hearings. Viewers can also watch CBS News' live coverage on CBSNews.com and the network's YouTube channel.

CBS News Radio will provide live coverage of the hearings with White House correspondent Steven Portnoy, CBS News Radio correspondent Steve Dorsey, who was in the Capitol on Jan. 6, and political analyst Leonard Steinhorn.

CBS News' comprehensive coverage of the public hearings will also span across multiple broadcasts including CBS MORNINGS, the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH NORAH O'DONNELL, FACE THE NATION WITH MARGARET BRENNAN and CBS SUNDAY MORNING.

CBS Newspath will provide coverage of the Jan. 6 hearings starting Thursday morning. Correspondents Debra Alfarone, Natalie Brand and Skyler Henry will offer the latest reporting to CBS' 200+ affiliates nationwide and to broadcasters around the world. CBS-owned stations will also be carrying CBS News' coverage across their local platforms
