DIPLOMAT, THE (Netflix) - Pearl Mackie and Jess Chanliau have both been cast in the Keri Russell-led drama series. They'll recur as Alysse and Ronnie, respectively. No other details were given. (THR.com)
DISCLAIMER (Apple TV+) - Lesley Manville is the latest bound for the Cate Blanchett/Kevin Kline-led drama as Nancy, "a woman devastated by her young son's untimely death. Her life has been defined by her grief, and she lives a quiet life with her husband (Kline)." (Variety.com)
DOPESICK/FARGO/HANDMAID'S TALE, THE/OLD MAN, THE (Various) - Executive producer Warren Littlefield has signed a new multi-year overall deal with 20th Television and ABC Signature. His company, The Littlefield Company, has called the Disney-owned studios home since 2016. (Deadline.com)
GLAMOROUS (Netflix) - Kim Cattrall has signed onto the upcoming Miss Benny-led drama as legendary maquillista Madolyn Addison. She succeeds Brooke Shields from the original pilot for The CW. (Variety.com)
MADE FOR LOVE (HBO Max) - The streamer has axed the comedy series after two seasons. "We are tremendously grateful for the truly spectacular journey of these past two seasons, courtesy of Alissa Nutting, Christina Lee, Cristin, Billy, Ray and the entire 'Made for Love' cast and creative team - especially Zelda the talking dolphin and everyone's favorite synthetic love interest, Diane," HBO Max said in a statement. "Like a Gogol chip, the series will always be on our minds." (Variety.com)
SMALL LIGHT, A (Disney+) - Amira Casar, Billie Boulet and Ashley Brooke have all been cast in the limited series. Casar will play Edith Frank, "a proud, smart and dignified woman. Mother to Margot and Anne, she navigates motherhood with a sincere and unwavering love, but which can sometimes feel overbearing to her teenage daughters." Boulet then portrays Anne Frank, "who is funny, mischievous and, oftentimes, stubborn. She cares deeply for her family and friends, and she is honest to a fault. Anne has no filter - if she thinks something, she says it." And Brooke is Margot Frank, "naturally timid and a rule follower, but with a kind and loving heart. Sensible and cautious, she is very concerned with how others see her, especially adults." (Deadline.com)
