FIND THE LIGHT/SON IN LAW, THE (ABC) - The Alphabet has passed on both midseason pilots. Chris Sullivan toplined the latter comedy while Kay Oyegun was behind the former drama. (Deadline.com)
GLAMOROUS (Netflix) - Todd Strauss-Schulson has been tapped to direct and executive produce the first two installments of the upcoming series starring Miss Benny and Kim Cattrall. (Deadline.com)
GOOD FIGHT, THE (Paramount+) - Phylicia Rashad and Shahar Isaac will both recur on the show's upcoming final season. Rashad will play Renetta Clark, "the calm, brilliant leader of a stealthy resistance movement," in four episodes; while Isaac has been cast as Zev Beker, "an Israeli Krav Maga instructor who's equal parts tough and charming," in three episodes. GORDITA CHRONICLES (HBO Max) - Creator Claudia Forestieri has inked an overall deal with Sony Pictures Television, the show's producer, where she'll develop new series projects via her Mamalu Productions banner. (Deadline.com)
ROOKIE, THE: FEDS (ABC) - Star Niecy Nash has signed a first-look deal with the show's producer, Entertainment One. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED CSDR FOOTBALL PROJECT (Disney+, New!) - Oscar winner Troy Kotsur will star in a proposed drama for the streamer which will tell extraordinary story of the 2021 California School for the Deaf, Riverside (CSDR) football team's "historical undefeated season and how it earned a spot in the California State Championship game for the first time in school history." Ron Shelton is attached to direct the pilot from a script he co-wrote with Ben Shelton with Kotsur playing the team's coach. All three will executive produce alongside Bert Salke, Gary Foster, Russ Krasnoff, Rainn Wilson, Jack Jason, Bill Horberg, Christina Lurie and showrunner Kevin Falls for ABC Signature. John Maucere, an alumnus of the school, will consult and co-produce. (Deadline.com)
WILDS, THE (Amazon) - The streamer has canceled the YA survival drama after two seasons. (Deadline.com)
