BIG SKY (ABC) - Rex Linn has signed onto the new season as Buck Barnes, "husband of [Reba] McEntire's character Sunny Barnes. The pair owns Sunny Day Excursions which specializes in glamping." (Deadline.com)
DEMASCUS (AMC) - Sasha Hutchings will recur on the upcoming sci-fi comedy as Budhi Banks, "Demascus' (Okieriete Onaodowan) tech-smart girlfriend of 3 years. She's committed to making their relationship work despite Demascus' hang-ups." (Variety.com)
HAUS OF VICIOUS (BET, New!) - The cable channel has acquired the eight-episode drama, which stars Tami Roman as Chantel Vivian, "a fashion designer whose success is overshadowed by her narcissistic husband, addiction, unresolved childhood traumas, and dysfunctional personal life. With the assistance of her secret weapon, Jaelyn Ryan (Erica Peeples), publicist to her Vicious Empire, Chantel works to rise through the ranks, but her husband Kane's (Redaric Williams) behavior threatens to tear down the house Chantel built." Norman Nixon Jr. (Milan), Tiffany Black (Raven), Kyler O'Neal (Izzy), Brely Evans (Avery), Lyric Anderson (Tia), and Ella Joyce (Carolyn) also star in the project, which bows on Wednesday, August 17 at 8:00/7:00c. Writer Jill Ramsey, director Kim Fields, Marvin Neil, Herb Kimble, and Eric Tomosunas are the executive producers for RomanRamsey Productions and Swirl Films. (Deadline.com)
INVITATION TO A BONFIRE (AMC) - Jamie Neumann and Amy Darton will both recur on the Adrienne Celt adaptation, which also tapped Cherien Dabis to direct the first two episodes of the series. Darton will play Daphne: "In the complex social hierarchy of the all-girls Donne School, Daphne is the unquestioned queen. But her social standing, silver spoon upbringing and posh clothes cannot save her from the indignities of 1930s womanhood. Daphne may lord over the schoolgirls with unchecked power, but it's only because she has so little real power of her own." And Neumann portrays Nadine: "Raised in rural Appalachia, Nadine now works in the kitchen at the Donne School, a tony, all-girls boarding school in New Jersey. Unbeknownst to the current schoolgirls, Nadine was a Donne student herself, many years prior, thanks to the largesse of a generous scholarship." (Deadline.com)
LAW & ORDER: ORGANIZED CRIME (NBC) - Camilla Belle and Gus Halper have been cast in the show's upcoming third season as "New York City power couple Pearl Serrano and Teddy Silas, respectively." (Deadline.com)
SUPASHAWTY GIRLS, FUNKAMATIC BANGBANG (Freeform, New!) - Adamma and Adanne Ebo have signed a multi-year overall deal with 20th Television where they will develop new series projects. First up is the aforementioned animated comedy, which "follows Yeze and Tule when a freak laboratory accident turns the twin college students into dopeass superheroes, and they must learn to manage their brand new super-powered lives with the growing pains of adulthood. Unfortunately for humanity, they'd actually rather kick it than kick butt & save the world." Tiffany Haddish and Melanie Clarik will also executive produce. (Deadline.com)
