AMAZING WORLD OF GUMBALL, THE: THE MOVIE (HBO Max) - The movie incarnation of the animated series is no longer moving forward at the streaming service. Warner Bros. Animation however will continue production as it is shopped to other outlets. (Deadline.com)

COMPANY YOU KEEP, THE (ABC) - The Alphabet has ordered the Milo Ventimiglia-led drama pilot to series. Phil Klemmer has been tapped to serve as co-showrunner alongside creator Julia Cohen with Ventimiglia, Russ Cundiff, Jon M. Chu, Caitlin Foito, Todd Harthan, Lindsay Goffman and director Ben Younger also executive producing for DiVide Pictures, Electric Somewhere and 20th Television. Deanna Harris is a producer. Catherine Haena Kim, William Fichtner, Tim Chiou, Freda Foh Shen, James Saito, Sarah Wayne Callies, Felisha Terrell and Polly Draper also star in the project. 20th has also renewed its overall deal with DiVide Pictures. FATAL ATTRACTION (Paramount+) - Doreen Calderon has joined the cast of the feature-turned-TV series as Maureen Walker, "Dan's (Joshua Jackson) longtime assistant who worked for his father before him. She knows how he thinks and keeps in perfect stride, but also has enough cred to tease her boss once in a while." (Deadline.com)
GOOD LAWYER, THE (ABC, New!) - David Shore and Liz Friedman are developing a planted spin-off of "The Good Doctor" which will "center on Joni, a 20-something woman who battles OCD but is a brilliant lawyer and gets to be a defense attorney for Dr. Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore) who finds himself in legal trouble." David Shore and Liz Friedman are behind the project, which will be set up in the 13th episode this season with Joni and her another role, Janet, "a highly regarded attorney and partner at the firm," appearing. Shore Z Productions' Erin Gunn will also executive produce for Sony Pictures Television and ABC Signature. (Deadline.com)
KAOS (Netflix) - Debi Mazar has been tapped to play Medusa in Charlie Covell's upcoming mythological series. No other details were given. (Deadline.com)
MY GLORY WAS I HAD SUCH FRIENDS (Apple TV+) - Jennifer Garner has bowed out of the long-in-the-works limited series, triggering the streamer not to go forward with the project. Garner's exit is described as for scheduling reasons as the actor is currently filming another Apple project, "The Last Thing He Told Me." Warner Bros. Television hopes to shop it elsewhere. PAPRIKA (Amazon, New!) - Director Cathy Yan is developing a small screen take on Yasutaka Tsutsui's novel at the Amazon Studios, "a character-driven sci-fi series with a mind-bending narrative centering around a technology that allows us to invade people's dreams." Rewild's Ash Sarohia will also executive produce alongside Masi Oka and Hivemind's Jason F. Brown. (Deadline.com)
TINY BEAUTIFUL THINGS (Hulu) - Merritt Wever, Michaela Watkins and Owen Painter will all recur on the Cheryl Strayed adaptation. Wever plays Frankie, "the resilient and resourceful single mother of Young Clare and Young Lucas"; Watkins as Amy, "an emerging novelist and the decades-long best friend of Clare, whose decision to remain childless and pursue an artistic career has been shaped by a mother loss of her own - though a different kind than Clare's"; and Painter as Young Lucas, "the younger brother of Clare, whose life veers unexpectedly off-course after the devastating death of their mother, Frankie."
