AGATHA: COVEN OF CHAOS (Disney+) - Aubrey Plaza is set to star alongside Kathryn Hahn and Joe Locke in the Marvel Studios series with said report saying "she is believed to be playing a villain opposite Hahn and Locke." (Deadline.com)
CHARLOTTE'S WEB/DEGRASSI (HBO Max) - The streamer has opted not to proceed with both projects. The former was to come from Sesame Workshop while the latter was a reboot of the youth franchise. (WSJ.com)
CHICAGO MED (NBC) - Asjha Cooper's Vanessa Taylor is exiting the drama series after two seasons, following the events of tonight's episode. (Deadline.com)
TUCA & BERTIE (Adult Swim) - Creator Lisa Hanawalt announced on social media the animated comedy has been canceled by the cable network. Adult Swim previously rescued the series after Netflix pulled the plug after one season. (@lisadraws)
UNTITLED KAGISO LEDIGA PROJECT (Freevee, New!) - Writer/director Kagiso Lediga has scored an eight-episode order from the streamer for a new drama which "follows Ella Gardner as her life is turned upside down when she is uprooted from her native Oakland, California to Johannesburg, South Africa to live with her estranged father and his new family. Immersed in a complex world and culture that she knows little about, Ella will discover her true path on her quest to return home." Diprente's Kagiso Lediga and Tamsin Andersson will also executive produce for Sony Pictures Television alongside Skybound Entertainment's Robert Kirkman, David Alpert, Rick Jacobs, Sean Furst and Bryan Furst. Karabo Lediga, Saloojee, Meja Shoba, Christopher Steenkamp and Nomawonga Khumalo are also among the writers with Tebogo Malope and Karabo Lediga serving as additional directors. (Deadline.com)
