· Apple Original Films today announced it will expand its award-winning feature film slate with "The Instigators," the latest film from director Doug Liman ("Mr. & Mrs. Smith," "The Bourne Identity" films) that is set to star Academy Award-winners Matt Damon ("The Martian," "The Bourne Identity" films) and Casey Affleck ("Manchester by the Sea," "Gone Baby Gone"), with Damon & Ben Affleck (Artists Equity), Jeff Robinov and John Graham (Studio 8) and Kevin Walsh (The Walsh Company) serving as producers.

· Hailing from Apple Studios, "The Instigators" follows two thieves (Matt Damon and Casey Affleck) who must go on the run with the help of one of their therapists after a robbery goes awry.

· "The Instigators" is originally based on a script by Chuck Maclean ("City on a Hill"). The project was developed by Jeff Robinov and John Graham for Studio 8, who also serve as producers, and Casey Affleck. The film will also be produced by Damon alongside Academy Award-winner Ben Affleck for Artists Equity, and Academy Award nominee Kevin Walsh for The Walsh Company ("Napoleon," "House of Gucci"), under his multi-year Apple TV+ producing deal.

· The film reunites Damon with Liman following their collaboration on "The Bourne Identity" film franchise. It also reunites Damon, Casey Affleck and Walsh following their collaboration on "Manchester By The Sea."

· "The Instigators" will join a growing lineup of Apple Original Films produced by Apple Studios, including the highly anticipated "Killers of the Flower Moon," directed by Martin Scorsese and starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro; "Spirited," a musical rendition of Charles Dickens' classic holiday story starring Will Ferrell, Ryan Reynolds and Octavia Spencer; "Raymond and Ray," a new feature film starring Ewan McGregor and Ethan Hawke; and, "Emancipation," the upcoming film from director Antoine Fuqua, and starring and produced by Academy Award nominee Will Smith premiering globally on Apple TV+ December 9; and, "Napoleon," the upcoming film starring Academy Award winner Joaquin Phoenix from Academy Award nominated director Ridley Scott and produced by Scott and Academy Award nominee Walsh.
