56 DAYS (Amazon, New!) - Lisa Zwerling and Karyn Usher are set to team for a small screen take on Catherine Ryan Howard's novel at Amazon Studios, "a psychological thriller that tells the story of an intense, erotic romance that turns deadly. It follows two young professionals, striking out on their own in a new city, who are entangled quickly in a charged relationship that leads to a powerful intimacy that is soon cracked open by their secrets... and to murder." James Wan, Michael Clear and Rob Hackett of Atomic Monster will also executive produce with Howard receiving a co-executive producer credit. (THR.com)
AHSOKA (Disney+) - Wes Chatham has been cast as "the right-hand man to Lars Mikkelsen's Admiral Thrawn" in the upcoming series. (Deadline.com)
ALEXANDER THE GREAT (Netflix, New!) - Tailfeather Productions and Lion Television are set to team for "a big-budget retelling of the life of one of world history's most notorious figures: Alexander the Great was King of the ancient Greek city of Macedon. He is widely considered to be one of history's greatest and most successful military commanders and by the age of 30 had created one of the largest empires in history, stretching from Greece to northwest India. He left a major cultural legacy and his tactics have been studied for generations." Tony Mitchell is set as showrunner with Hugh Ballantyne directing the dramatized sections. CREATURE COMMANDOS (HBO Max) - James Gunn's new DC animated series has cast Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., David Harbour as Eric Frankenstein, Maria Bakalova as Princess Ilana Rostovic, Indira Varma as The Bride, Zoe Chao as Nina Mazursky, Alan Tudyk as Dr. Phosphorus, Sean Gunn as Weasel and Steve Agee as John Economos. FREERIDGE (Netflix) - The streaming service as canceled the "On My Block" spin-off series after one season. (Deadline.com)
LADY DANGER (Freevee, New!) - Nicki Minaj is attached to star in a proposed animated series at the streamer "set in the year 2075 - follows a government field agent who is left for dead by her team after discovering a dangerous secret, only to be resurrected as Lady Danger, an afrofuturistic ass-kicking Agent of B.O.O.T.I (Bureau of Organized Terrorism Intervention), who must conceal her true identity while she fights villains who are destroying the earth and its vulnerable inhabitants." Carlton Jordan and Crystle Roberson are behind the project, which is baesd on the Dark Horse Comics series by Alex de Campi. Minaj, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, Brian Sher, Paul Young and Mike Griffin will also executive produce for G-Unit Film & TV, Make Good Content and Starburns Industries. (Deadline.com)
