The Academy and ABC Announce Show Date for 97th Oscars
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and ABC today announced the 97th Oscars will take place on Sunday, March 2, 2025.

THE ACADEMY AND ABC ANNOUNCE SHOW DATE FOR 97TH OSCARS(R)

KEY DATES ALSO ANNOUNCED FOR 2024 AWARDS SEASON

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and ABC today announced the 97th Oscars(R) will take place on Sunday, March 2, 2025. The show will air live at 7 p.m. EST/4 p.m. PST on ABC and in more than 200 territories worldwide from the Dolby(R) Theatre at Ovation Hollywood.

Academy key dates for the 2024 Oscars season are as follows:

General entry, Best Picture, RAISE submission deadline Thursday, Nov. 14, 2024

Governors Awards Sunday, Nov. 17, 2024

Preliminary voting begins 9 a.m. PST Monday, Dec. 9, 2024
