Prime Video Bookends the 2025 Holiday Season with Blockbuster NFL Matchups on Black Friday and Christmas Night

Third edition of Black Friday Football features the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles vs. Chicago Bears on Friday, November 28, from Philadelphia

Prime-time Christmas showdown presents AFC West rivals Broncos and Chiefs at Arrowhead

Full-Season TNF Schedule to be released later this week on Wednesday, May 14

NEW YORK - May 12, 2025 - The 2025 holiday season begins and ends on Prime Video in grand fashion, with two of the most anticipated NFL matchups of the year. Festivities commence on November 28 with the streamer's third edition of Black Friday Football, when the Super Bowl champion Eagles take on Caleb Williams and the Bears to kick off a daylong celebration of top-tier sports and great shopping deals. Twenty-seven days later, the merriment culminates with a prime-time Christmas night gathering of the Broncos and Chiefs in Kansas City that may determine the fate of the AFC West crown.

Prime Video's Black Friday Football and Christmas NFL matchups were announced this evening on the stage of Manhattan's famed Beacon Theatre, where Thursday Night Football's Charissa Thompson, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Andrew Whitworth and Taylor Rooks participated in Amazon's 2025 Upfront presentation. Today's announcement arrives in advance of the full-season TNF schedule, which will be released on Wednesday, May 14. This season's exclusive NFL coverage on Prime Video includes one preseason game, 15 Thursday Night Football events, Black Friday Football, and an NFL Wild Card Playoff game in January.

"Black Friday Football has quickly emerged as a new tradition on the national sports calendar, and we are ecstatic to feature the Super Bowl champions in this tentpole event for the second year in a row," said Jay Marine, VP and global head of sports and ads, Prime Video. "The viewership of last year's Black Friday game grew more than 40 percent year-over-year, and we're equally excited to present a Christmas thriller between the Chiefs and Broncos in prime time, featuring some of the biggest names in the sport."

Marine added, "The holiday shopping season stands as one of the most critical stretches of the year for advertisers and retailers looking to attract the massive audiences that congregate around major events. Prime Video has an unparalleled sports lineup during this important period, as well as a targeted, full-funnel offering that cannot be matched."

TNF cemented its position as one of the most valuable franchises in sports media last season, registering its second consecutive season of double-digit, year-over-year audience growth. Prime Video's across-the-board viewership gains were highlighted by best-ever audience figures in the 19-year history of TNF within all key adult demographics under the age of 55. Since TNF's inaugural season on Prime Video in 2022, viewership of the package has grown +38%.

TNF earned a total of 12 nominations for the 46th annual Sports Emmy(R) Awards, the most in the three-year history of the package, and the most among any NFL media franchise. TNF's on-site wraparound programming, led by TNF Tonight and TNF Nightcap, earned its first-ever nomination for Outstanding Studio Show - Weekly. Black Friday Football also secured nominations for both Outstanding Interactive Experience and Outstanding Editing - Short Form. TNF's on-air talent was also recognized, with analysts Ryan Fitzpatrick and Richard Sherman each earning a nomination for Outstanding Emerging Personality, while Kaylee Hartung earned her second-straight nomination for Outstanding Personality/Sideline Reporter. The winners will be announced on May 20th at the Sports Emmy Awards ceremony in New York.

Viewers in the U.S. can watch Thursday Night Football and Black Friday Football on Prime Video in their living rooms on connected televisions, streaming media players, or set-top boxes by using the Prime Video app, which is also available on mobile. In addition, viewers can stream online on Amazon, and on phones and tablets with NFL+. Each Thursday Night Football game also streams live on Twitch and is available on over-the-air TV stations in the two home markets of the competing teams, as well as in Spanish language on Prime Video. Coverage kicks off each Thursday with TNF Tonight at 7:00 p.m. EDT.
