Roku Originals Delivers New Holiday Programming with Star-Studded Lineup
New movies coming include "Jingle Bell Wedding," the sequel to last year's hit "Jingle Bell Love," with Joey McIntyre and Michelle Morgan, alongside "Merry Little Mystery," featuring Jordin Sparks and Keon Alexander
"Honest Renovations: A Holiday Home Makeover" will return for a second special starring Jessica Alba and Lizzy Mathis
SAN JOSE, Calif. - July 28, 2025 - Roku is making your holiday season merry and bright with a new slate of original content coming to The Roku Channel later this year. Two new Roku Original holiday movies, "Jingle Bell Wedding" and "Merry Little Mystery," have been greenlit alongside a second iteration of "Honest Renovations: A Holiday Home Makeover." With these new additions, Roku continues to be a go-to destination for all things festive, meeting the growing demand for holiday content on the platform.
Following the success of last season's "Jingle Bell Love," Roku will bring to life its sequel, "Jingle Bell Wedding." Joey McIntyre ("New Kids on the Block") and Michelle Morgan ("Heartland") will return as Jack Cooper and Jessica McFall, who are planning their New Year's Eve wedding celebration until a once-in-a-lifetime career opportunity threatens to upend the festivities and matrimonial merriment.
In addition to "Jingle Bell Wedding," Roku will debut "Merry Little Mystery," a holiday rom-com starring two-time Grammy-nominated artist Jordin Sparks ("American Idol") and Keon Alexander ("The Night Agent"). Sparks plays Natasha Maxwell, who tries to foil a determined reporter's (Alexander) attempts to reveal her identity as the benevolent Secret Santa of a small town...and ends up falling in love. Audiences can also look forward to a brand-new original song by Sparks, created exclusively for the film.
Also coming to The Roku Channel is an all-new "Honest Renovations: A Holiday Home Makeover," hosted and executive produced by Jessica Alba and Lizzy Mathis. This time, the duo sets their sights on transforming the home of a heroic fire captain who bravely battled the devastating Los Angeles wildfires earlier this year.
These three new titles join the previously announced "The Great American Baking Show: Celebrity Holiday," which will return for its fourth season with a new lineup of celebrity bakers. Judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith will take on the new batch of celebrity bakers alongside hosts Casey Wilson and the newly added Andrew Rannells.
"Our Roku streamers truly embrace the holiday season," said Brian Tannenbaum, Head of Originals, Roku Media. "Fronted by a group of extraordinary talent, our Roku Original holiday slate will deliver feel-good, delightful content just in time for the holiday season."
Both "Jingle Bell Wedding" and "Merry Little Mystery" will be produced in collaboration with Incendo, expanding on the existing partnership that originated with "Jingle Bell Love." Incendo's Graham Ludlow, Kaleigh Kavanagh, and Shari Segal serve as executive producers for both films. Richard Foster and Chet Fenster from Motion will also executive producers on behalf of "Jingle Bell Wedding". "Jingle Bell Wedding" is written by Daren Flam and Stefanie Black and directed by Anne De Léan. "Merry Little Mystery" is directed by Caroline Labrèche and written by Casie Tabanou and Alison Spuck. On behalf of Roku Originals, Morgan Pichinson and Sabrina Lyall oversee both projects.
"Honest Renovations: A Holiday Home Makeover" is produced by 3 Arts Entertainment, MGM Television, Summit House Entertainment, and Rahmath Productions. Jessica Alba, Lizzy Mathis, Dunia McNeily, Oly Obst, Lucilla D'Agostino, Barry Poznick, Jordana Starr, Michael Matsumoto and Mark Bracero will also serve as executive producers. The special is overseen by Olivia LaRoche and Louisa Lenander Friedman on behalf of Roku Originals.
"So sweet to continue this holiday love story. Pass the tissues - this one gets you too," said Joey McIntyre.
"Working on 'Merry Little Mystery' was such a beautiful moment in time. The entire filming process, cast and crew, and city of Montreal were wonderful. Our director, Caroline, had a great vision, and I'm truly excited that my costar Keon Alexander and I got to bring this story to life together. I enjoy doing holiday movies because they bring a warmth and love that is yearned for. They make people smile, and we need more of that!" said Jordin Sparks.
"The holiday season is all about bringing people together and making memories. What better way to do that than by transforming a house into a forever home, filled with holiday cheer," said Jessica Alba and Lizzy Mathis. "This year, we had the honor of renovating the home of a local firefighter, William Basulto, who gave so much to his Los Angeles community and is embarking on a new and exciting chapter of his life - we can't wait for viewers to experience it with us."
