100 CHOICES (GSN, New!) - Fany Studio's Japanese comedic family format is being developed for the U.S. by B17 Entertainment for the cable channel: "The show sees a group of contestants faced with one question and 100 possible answers. If they can answer correctly, they win a large cash prize, but the question is nearly impossible to answer, so the they take on five physical challenges that allows them to eliminate some of the choices based on their performance in each challenge." BAD MONKEY (Apple TV) - Nate Jackson is the latest set to recur on the new season in an unspecified role. (Deadline.com, 10/20)
BLACK HOLE (Netflix, New!) - Writer/director Jane Schoenbrun has landed a straight-to-series order from the streamer for a new series based on Charles Burns's bestselling graphic novels: "There's an old myth that haunts the seemingly perfect small town of Roosevelt: if you have sex too young, you'll contract the "bug," a virus that literally turns you into a "monster" from your worst nightmares. Absurd, right? That's what Chris always assumed, until, after one reckless night at the beginning of senior year, she finds herself infected. Now she'll be cast out to the woods to live with the other infected, where a chilling, new threat emerges: a serial killer who's hunting them one-by-one." Schoenbrun, Burns, Erin Levy, Yariv Milchan, Arnon Milchan, Natalie Lehmann, and Laura Delahaye are the executive producers for Plan B and New Regency. (Deadline.com, 10/23)
BODY, THE (Netflix) - Quinn Shephard's coming-of-age drama has added the following actors to recur: Ashley Madekwe as Theresa Franklin; Motell Gyn Foster as Michael Franklin; Cale Ambrozic as Benji; Anna Tierney as Melanie; Chloe Longname as Eden; Sarah Abbott as Olivia; Emily Roman as Claire; Michela Luci as Amy; Bella Neuspiel as Katie; Julia Lowe as Blair; and Christine Solomon as Salma. BRILLIANT MINDS (NBC) - Eric Dane will guest on the series as "a heroic firefighter who struggles to share his ALS diagnosis with his family." The actor revealed in April that he had been diagnosed with ALS. (Deadline.com, 10/20)
CALABASAS (Netflix) - Chris Van Dusen has signed onto the long-in-the-works drama series based on the book "If You Lived Here You'd Be Famous By Now" by Via Bleidner, succeeding creator I. Marlene King. He will executive produce via his CVD Productions. (Deadline.com, 10/24)
CHICAGO PD (NBC) - Original cast member Patrick John Flueger, who plays Adam Ruzek, is taking a leave of absence from the popular drama "to deal with a personal matter." He's expected to return later this season. (Deadline.com, 10/21)
CUPERTINO (CBS) - The Mike Colter-led drama from Robert and Michelle King has been ordered to series by the network for the 2026-27 season: "Cupertino is a David vs. Goliath legal drama set in the heart of Silicon Valley that follows a lawyer (Colter) who is being cheated out of his stock-options by his former employer, a tech start-up. Refusing to back down, he joins forces with another recently fired attorney to represent those taken advantage of by the tech elite, and help them fight back in a high-stakes battle against the Goliaths controlling Silicon Valley." Liz Glotzer also executive produces for their CBS Studios-based King Size Productions. Robert King will helm the debut episode. (Deadline.com, 10/22)
DMV (CBS) - Jessica Camacho, Leslie Jones, Zoe Lister-Jones, Chelsea Frei, and Renee Montgomery will guest on the freshman comedy. Camacho will play "the confident and carefree Surfer Mary, who becomes a love interest for Noa (Alex Tarrant) when she is taking her driving test"; with Jones as Sally, "the energetic and proud executive assistant to the Director of the California DMV"; Zoe Lister-Jones plays Dr. Jacobs, "an entitled surgeon who's finally set aside time to get a license and is not at all pleased that it is taking so long"; Frei as Amber, "Colette's (Harriet Dyer) childhood friend from Delaware who is now an out-of-touch actress who visits the DMV to get her Real ID"; and former WNBA player Montgomery will make a cameo appearance. ELSBETH (CBS) - Lindsey Normington, Dianne Wiest, Jaime Pressly, and Andrew Rannells are the latest bound for the series. Normington will appear as Alaia Jade, "a sensitive pop star who buys a convent in hopes of turning it into a recording studio. The mother superior (Dianne Wiest) has other ideas." Pressly then is set as Tiff Giles, "who was once a top model but now works as a bartender at a dive in Pennsylvania. When her old roommate from the "model house" where they began their careers invites Tiff to a reunion and photo shoot, Tiff returns to New York for the first time seeking closure... and revenge." And Rannells is Harris, "a former dancer who sits on the board of a prominent New York ballet company. When the company abandons its traditional Nutcracker for a childless, avant-garde version - thus denying Harris's daughter the starring role she's dreamed of - Harris leaps into action." ENERGON UNIVERSE (New!) - Skybound Entertainment and Hasbro Entertainment are set to team for a proposed animated series based on the comic book series of the same name, "an epic crossover of G.I. Joe, Transformers and Void Rivals mythology." Joe Henderson is spearheading the project, which will be taken out to buyers shortly. Robert Kirkman and David Alpert will presumably executive produce alongside Henderson should it move forward. (Deadline.com, 10/22)
HIGH POTENTIAL (ABC) - Aiden Turner will guest on the show's October 28 fall finale as Rhys, "a quick-witted, well-tailored art recovery specialist with the tenacity of a prosecutor and the instincts of a seasoned detective. Equal parts cultured and street savvy, Rhys navigates the murky world of stolen masterpieces." (Variety.com, 10/22)
INNATE (Hulu, New!) - The upcoming psychological thriller has landed at the streamer in the U.S.: "The eight-part Innate is billed as a "gripping exploration of family, trauma and hidden truths." It follows Sara (Elena Anaya), a psychologist who has left behind a traumatic past as the daughter of Félix Garay (Imanol Arias), a serial murdered once dubbed by the press as 'the Diesel Killer.' Her idyllic life with her husband Aitor (Roberto Álamo) and their teenage son Sebas (Teo Soler) begins to crumble when Félix is released from prison, coinciding with a new wave of crimes that eerily mirror the murders committed 25 years ago." César Benítez, Emilio Amaré, Álvaro Benítez, Daniel March and Carrie Stein are among the executive producers for Plano a Plano and Dynamic Television with Lino Escalera and Inma Torrente directing. KOATI (Netflix, New!) - The Sofia Vergara-led animated series will premiere November 13 on the streamer: "The series follows the adventures of Nachi, Xochi, Pako, and Xuxu - four adorable creatures from the Latin American rainforest - as they explore the magical land of XO. Through music, dance, comedy, and their experiences, children discover friendship, kindness, and the wonders of nature." Melissa de Assís Escobar and Anabella Sosa-Dovarganes created the project, a ViX Original produced by Upstairs Miami and LatinWE. Vergara also executive produces via Latin World Entertainment and provides the voice of Zaina. Additional voice cast includes Adriana Barraza as Amaya, Juan Pablo Monterrubio as Nachi, Habana Zoé López as Xochi, Emilio Treviño as Pako, Andrea Valentina Cabrera as Xuxu, and Sebas Villalobos as Calli. OUTER BANKS (Netflix) - Production on the show's final season "is continuing following an on-set incident, in which co-creator, executive producer, co-showrunner and director Jonas Pate allegedly grabbed and shook a production assistant." (Deadline.com, 10/23)
PRESUMED INNOCENT (Apple TV) - John Magaro and Michael Hsu Rosen will recur on the upcoming second season in a yet-to-be-revealed roles. (Deadline.com, 10/24)
PRISON BREAK (REBOOT SERIES) (Hulu) - The streamer has ordered the reboot pilot from writer/director Elgin James to series: "In the new Prison Break, a soldier-turned-corrections officer takes a job at one of the deadliest prisons in America to prove just how far she'll go for someone she loves." The cast includes Emily Browning as Cassidy; Drake Rodger as Tommy; Lukas Gage as Jackson; Clayton Cardenas as Michael "Ghost"; JR Bourne as Junior; Georgie Flores as Andrea; and Myles Bullock as Darius "Red." The pilot also starred Priscilla Delgado, Ray McKinnon, Margo Martindale, Donal Logue, Lili Taylor, and Sylvester Powell. Dawn Olmstead, Paul T. Scheuring, Marty Adelstein, and Neal Moritz also executive produce for 20th Television. (Deadline.com, 10/20)
PROJECT: MKULTRA (HBO, New!) - David Chase is back in business with the network for a new drama based on the non-fiction book "Project Mind Control: Sidney Gottlieb, the CIA, and the Tragedy of MKUltra" by author John Lisle: "Project: MKUltra is a dramatic thriller centered on the infamous chemist and spymaster Sidney Gottlieb, often known as The Black Sorcerer, who headed the CIA's MKUltra Psychedelic program which conducted dangerous and deadly mind control experiments on willing - and unwilling - subjects during the height of the Cold War. Gottlieb is also known as the unwitting godfather of the entire LSD counterculture." Chase and Nicole Lambert will executive produce via their Riverain Pictures banner. (Deadline.com, 10/22)
RABBIT HOLE (Hulu, New!) - The streamer will be home to a new series from Pocket.watch in 2026: "Rabbit Hole will be a ten-part variety show that brings together a roster of well-known digital creators to participate in on-screen collaborations, challenges, games and performances. The cast of creators command a combined total of 421.8M followers across social platforms. Many have built followings while making content in a specific area, such as magic, pranks, art, sports, gaming, comedy or reviews. The core line-up will reflect that with a mix of creator talent, who will be complemented by guest stars in the half-hour show." Dan Rhodes, Papa Jake, Mackenzie Turner, Jesser, Topper Guild, Zhong, ZHC, Matthew Beem, ExtraEmily, That's Amazing, The Rizzler and AJ & Big Justice are among the featured talent. SHERIFF COUNTRY (CBS) - Kelli O'Hara will recur on the newcomer as Miranda, "Sheriff Mickey Fox's (Morena Baccarin) ex-sister-in-law. Sharp-tongued and formidable, she's never seen eye to eye with Mickey, though they share the pain of parenting children struggling with addiction. As a successful businesswoman and the wealthiest woman in Edgewater, Miranda is a woman who is not to be trifled with." (Deadline.com, 10/21)

STUMBLE (NBC) - Jeff Hiller, Dascha Polanco, and Ashlie Atkinson will guest star on the newcomer. Hiller will play Augustus, "the owner of the Candy Button factory and also the town's biggest benefactor;" with Polanco as "the mother of Krystal (Anissa Borrego), who is also the manager and CEO of Krystal Enterprises"; and Atkinson as Miss Dot, "the eccentric unregistered school nurse/facilities manager." SWAT: EXILES (TBA) - Cas Anvar will guest on the spin-off series as Monte Barzarian, described as "tough as nails, intimidating and physically strong, running a family business with an iron hand that is a front for a drug empire for years." (Variety.com, 10/21)
SYMPATHIZER, THE (HBO) - Executive producer Amanda Burrell has signed a two-year overall deal with the network. There she'll develop new series projects via her Ginger production company. (Deadline.com, 10/23)
WAR (HBO) - The Dominic West/Sienna Miller-led drama has added Celia Imrie, Nick Mohammed, Shaheen Jafargholi, Akiya Henry, Rose Williams, Camille Coduri, Aran Murphy, Honor Swinton Byrne, Miles Jupp, Kartanya Maynard, Alexandra Mardell, Mark Quartley, and Steve Furst. Imrie and Mohammed will play Budgie and Michael Stefanou respectively. No other details were given about the other actors' roles. (Deadline.com, 10/22)
WEATHER GIRL (Netflix) - A24 and Team Downey have signed on to produce the project, which stars Julia McDermott in a series adaptation of the stage play from writer/director Brian Watkins. The latter's Robert Downey, Jr., Susan Downey, and Amanda Burrell will executive produce alongside Watkins with McDermott receiving a producing credit. It's not clear if Francesca Moody is still attached to the project. (Variety.com, 10/22)
