As told in a new documentary series, Meehan's "rom con" went much deeper than anyone suspected.
John Meehan - dubbed "Dirty John" by those who knew him well - was one of the first "rom-conmen" to grip the U.S. People were captivated and horrified by the twisted true story of how a seemingly perfect bachelor manipulated a woman and her children out of their money in the early 2010s, leading to relentless harassment, psychological abuse, and, ultimately, a violent and shocking end. But the full story is more alarming than anyone ever knew.
From Bunim/Murray Productions, a Banijay Americas company, and Empress Films, director Emma Cooper and executive producers Julie Pizzi, Jesse Daniels, and Melissa G. Moore, comes the definitive documentary series of the man behind the myth.
