ALL THE SINNERS BLEED (Netflix) - The S.A. Cosby adaptation has added the following actors: Giancarlo Esposito as Ezekiel Wiggins; David Lyons as Jasper Sanderson; Donald Elise Watkins as Deputy Trey Avery; Mackenzie Astin as Deputy Pip Collins; Jordan M. Cox as Deputy Tom Sadler; Cullen Moss as Deputy Roger Simmons; Angus O'Brien as Deputy Davy Burks; Cranston Johnson as Reverend Jamal Addison; Christopher Matthew Cook as Royce Lazare; Christopher Thornton as Dispatcher Cam Trowder; and Bill Oberst Jr. as Pastor Elias Hillington. ANNE RICE'S MAYFAIR WITCHES (AMC) - Omar Maskati has joined the cast of the show's third season in series regular role of Leo. No other details were given. (TVLine.com, 12/11)
BARBERSHOP (Amazon) - The reboot series has cast the following actors to recur: Bokeem Woodbine as Hustle Mike; Bresha Webb as Genevieve; Langston Kerman as Jeremy; and Tiana Okoye as Naimah-Jade. No other details were given. (Deadline.com, 12/9)
BOYS FROM BRAZIL, THE (Netflix) - Paul Ben-Victor has joined the cast of the Jeremy Strong-led series as Sidney Beynon, "who is a journalist who works with Liebermann in both the novel and the 1978 film version." (Variety.com, 12/9)
BROTHERS LIONHEART, THE (Netflix, New!) - Director Thomas Vinterberg and writer Simon Stephens are set to team for a series adaptation of Astrid Lindgren's beloved children's fantasy novel at the streamer: "Adapted from Lindgren's bestseller, The Brothers Lionheart follows two brothers who share an unconditional love that transcends life itself. Jonathan and Karl Lion journey through the magical realm of Nangijala, where whispered prophecies, terrifying dragons, and a tyrannical emperor force them to become the heroes their bond demands." Michael Ellenberg, Lars Blomgren, and Lindsey Springer of Media Res as well as Johan Palmberg for the Astrid Lindgren estate will also executive produce. (Deadline.com, 12/9)
CHECKPOINT (CBS, New!) - X Mayo and Mike Sikowitz have set up a single-camera comedy at the Eye: "It is about TSA officers navigating their careers, love, and friendship, all while trying to keep sane, and keep America safe." Kapital Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan will also executive produce the project, which is eyed as a starring vehicle for Mayo. Dylan Hammalian co-executive produces. (Deadline.com, 12/10)
CRY WOLF (FX) - Alyvia Alyn Lind and Jack Greig are the latest bound for the limited series. Lind will play Mia, with Greig as April's (Brie Larson) son. (Deadline.com, 12/9)
CUPERTINO/ELSBETH (CBS) - Robert King and Michelle King have renewed their overall deal with CBS Studios, their home since 2009. (Deadline.com, 12/11)
DIG (Peacock) - Hugh Laurie will star opposite Amy Poehler in the comedy series as Neville, "a British professor who sincerely loves archaeology and strives to uphold the traditions of this dying profession. He fancies himself an inspiring mentor to everyone who works at the site." Additionally, Dean Holland is on board to direct and executive produce the debut installment. (Deadline.com, 12/11)
GHOSTS (CBS) - Iain Armitage will guest star on the show's April 16 episode as a "heightened version of himself, taking part in a high-stakes poker game at the mansion." (Variety.com, 12/10)
GREY'S ANATOMY (ABC) - Jamie-Lynn Sigler is bound for the show's January 15 installment as Laura Kaplan, "a urologist living with Multiple Sclerosis, who visits Grey Sloan at the request of Catherine Fox (Debbie Allen) and offers Richard (James Pickens Jr.) a unique perspective on his case." HOLES (Disney+) - The streamer has passed on its series adaptation of Louis Sachar's 1998 novel turned 2003 movie, about Hayley (Shay Rudolph), "a teenage girl sent to a detention camp where the ruthless Warden (Greg Kinnear) forces the campers to dig holes for a mysterious purpose." The news comes after a writers' room was commissioned and "one of the tax credits awarded to Disney in August earmarked for the potential series." (Deadline.com, 12/12)
HOTEL COSTIERA (Amazon) - The streamer has canceled the Jesse Williams-led drama after one season. Producer Fremantle plans to shop the project elsewhere. (Deadline.com, 12/10)
JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE (ABC) - Jimmy Kimmel has signed a one-year extension to continue hosting the series through May 2027. (Deadline.com, 12/8)
KING OF THE HILL (Hulu) - Executive producer Saladin Patterson has renewed his overall deal with 20th Television, home to the revived series. (Deadline.com, 12/9)
LEVERAGE: REDEMPTION (Amazon) - Amazon MGM Studios has canceled the revival series after three seasons. (TVInsider.com, 12/12)
MATLOCK (CBS) - Sarah Wright Olsen and newcomer Henry Haber are the latest bound for the series. Wright Olsen will play Gwen, "an efficiency expert analyzing the firm"; with Haber as Hunter, "a younger associate from the floater pool who is a total bro." (Deadline.com, 12/11)
NEIGHBORHOOD, THE (CBS) - Anthony Anderson will drop by the show's 150th episode as Clancy Pridgeon, father of Skye Townsend's Courtney: "Enigmatic and imposing, [he has] come to pass judgement on Marty (Marcel Spears), the man who got his daughter pregnant." (TVLine.com, 12/11)
RISE, THE (Peacock, New!) - The streamer has landed a five-part documentary series capturing the growth of women's professional sports from Hello Sunshine, Ally and the Lyda Hill Philanthropies' If/Then Initiative: "Hello Sunshine's documentary crews have been embedded with leagues and players, capturing some of the biggest moments in the history of women's sports. From the inaugural year of the Professional Women's Hockey League to the ratings phenomenon of the 2024 season of the WNBA and more, the films will explore the surge in viewership and feature interviews with athletes." The first two films, "WNBA 2024 The Year That Changed Everything" and "The New Moneyball," will drop on December 15 with the other three ("The Inaugural Season of the PWHL," "The Gold Medal Girls of X Games," and "The Women of NASCAR") due in 2026. Reese Witherspoon, Sara Rea, Zoe Fairbourn, Sue Kinkead, Lyda Hill, Ty O'Neil, and Nicole Small will serve as executive producers for all five projects with Ashlyn Harris serving as a consulting producer. SHERIFF COUNTRY (CBS) - Ian Quinlan will recur on the newcomer as Hank, "who is tenacious and loyal, but also impulsive. A deputy at the same rank as Cassidy (Michele Weaver), he's keenly aware of Mickey's (Morena Baccarin) favoritism toward her - and isn't afraid to call it out. He knows precisely how capable he is, because he is." (Deadline.com, 12/9)
SHIFTING GEARS (ABC) - Luke Macfarlane has been cast as "the often mentioned but never seen Sam Parker, Matt Parker's (Tim Allen) son and Riley Parker's (Kat Dennings) brother" on the series. (Deadline.com, 12/9)
SKINNY DIP (Amazon) - Amanda Seyfried is attached to star in a series adaptation of Carl Hiaasen's novel, which has since moved from HBO Max to Prime Video: "Per the logline, Perrone's second anniversary didn't go quite as planned. She expected earrings, but instead, her husband Chaz had alternate plans. After unexpectedly finding herself on the other side of those plans, she vows to get revenge. Teaming up with a disgraced ex-cop, Joey sets out to make Chaz pay." Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis are behind the project with Seyfried, Hiaasen, Bill Lawrence, Jeff Ingold, and Liza Katzer also executive producing for Doozer and Warner Bros. Television. SUPACELL (Netflix) - Ghetts, who played Krazy on the show's first season, will not return for the show's second season "after admitting to killing a man in a hit-and-run car crash." (Deadline.com, 12/9)
TOMB RAIDER (Amazon) - Sigourney Weaver is in talks to join the upcoming video game adaptation starring Sophie Turner. No character details were given. (Deadline.com, 12/9)
TRACKER (CBS) - Kathleen Robertson and Mark Engelhardt will both recur on the series. Robertson will play Maxine, "a successful attorney at a major firm looking to engage Reenie (Fiona Rene) on what Maxine assures her is simply grunt work for an upcoming class action suit. It quickly becomes clear, however, that Maxine may have an entirely different game that she's playing." And Engelhardt is set as Emile Lang, "a man with his own moral code. Cold, calculating and methodical." (Deadline.com, 12/12)
UNTITLED HAWAI'I SERIES (Hulu, New!) - The streamer has landed a new reality series that will "focus on the culturally diverse women of Hawai'i and showcase an authentic part of the island and its people." Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia, and Scott Landsman of Seven Bucks Productions are the executive producers. (Deadline.com, 12/8)
UNTITLED IPPEI MIZUHARA PROJECT (Starz, New!) - Writer Alex Convery and writer/director Justin Lin are spearheading a new drama at the network about "the inside story of Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani's translator, Ippei Mizuhara, who stole $17 million from the MVP slugger's bank account to pay off gambling debits." Lionsgate Television is behind the project, which was originally developed by Scott Delman and journalist Albert Chen. Both remain attached as an executive producer and co-executive producer, respectively. Steven Prinz of Perfect Storm Entertainment also executive produces. (Deadline.com, 12/9)
VATICAN CITY (Hulu) - Robert and Michelle King have landed the drama at the streamer: "Vatican City follows Caroline, an American reporter working in Rome who's unexpectedly invited by the newly-elected Pope to serve as the Vatican's first female spokesperson and join Cardinal advisors at the very top of Vatican power. A startled Caroline struggles with papal politics, Vatican misogyny, and her own disbelief and worldly past." Liz Glotzer of King Size Productions and Ridley Scott, David Zucker, and Clayton Krueger of Scott Free will also executive produce for CBS Studios. The project was previously sold to Amazon in 2015.
