Netflix's "Assassin's Creed" Adds Two More Cast Nabhaan Rizwan & Claes Bang

NETFLIX'S "ASSASSIN'S CREED" ADDS TWO MORE CAST NABHAAN RIZWAN & CLAES BANG

Nabhaan Rizwan (he/him) (In Camera, Kaos, Juice) has been confirmed as a series regular for Netflix's upcoming adaptation of Assassin's Creed.

Rizwan Bio: Nabhaan has been nominated for two BAFTA awards in 2025 - first as a BAFTA Rising Star and now for Best Male Performance in a Comedy for his role as Dionysus in Netflix's KAOS. In film, he recently starred in the leading role of IN CAMERA, a BBC Films production directed by Naqqash Khalid. The film premiered at the 2023 Karlovy Vary Film Festival to rave reviews, earning Nabhaan a BIFA nomination for Best Lead Performance. His recent television credits include DOPE GIRLS and JUICE for the BBC. He also gained recognition for his standout performance in HBO's STATION 11 opposite Himesh Patel. Prior to that, he starred in HBO's acclaimed series INDUSTRY, the BBC/Amazon thriller THE INFORMER, and Jack Thorne's miniseries THE ACCIDENT for Channel 4 & Hulu.

On the big screen, Nabhaan appeared in MOGUL MOWGLI alongside Riz Ahmed, which premiered at the 2021 Berlin Film Festival to critical acclaim. His film credits also include THE LAST LETTER FROM YOUR LOVER, directed by Augustine Frizzell and starring Felicity Jones & Shailene Woodley, as well as Sam Mendes' 1917, where he starred opposite George MacKay.Nabhaan recently wrapped filming FILM CLUB alongside Aimee Lou Wood and can now be seen on the second season of JUICE, for which he has also co-written an episode.

Claes Bang (he/him) (The Square, Bad Sisters) has been confirmed as a series regular.

Bang Bio: A familiar face on stage and screen in Northern Europe, CLAES BANG had his breakthrough as an international star as the lead in Ruben Östlund's Oscar-nominated feature THE SQUARE, which won the Palme d'Or at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival. The film, which also features Elisabeth Moss and Dominic West, won six European Film Awards, including Best Actor for Claes. It was nominated for the Academy Award and the Golden Globe Award for Best Foreign Language Film.

Claes was also the lead in THE BAY OF SILENCE opposite Olga Kurylenko and Brian Cox and had a fantastic arc on the final season of the critically acclaimed series THE AFFAIR, followed by a role alongside Claire Foy in Sony's THE GIRL IN THE SPIDER'S WEB.

In 2020, Claes played the title role in BBC/Netflix's DRACULA, from the creative team behind the hit series SHERLOCK. Claes next starred in THE BURNT ORANGE HERESY opposite Mick Jagger, Donald Sutherland and Elizabeth Debicki, which was the closing night film at the Venice Film Festival. He completed a busy year with Dan Friedkin's THE LAST VERMEER opposite Guy Pearce, which premiered at the Telluride Film Festival. Both features were acquired by Sony Picture Classics.

Claes then starred in New Regency's critically acclaimed THE NORTHMAN opposite Alexander Skarsgård and Nicole Kidman, Ethan Hawke, Bjork, Willem Dafoe and Anya Taylor-Joy, for director Robert Eggers.

For the BBC, Claes filmed three series of Stephen Merchant's THE OUTLAWS. In Sharon Horgan's series BAD SISTERS for Apple TV+, Claes was highly praised as the appalling JP, whom the sisters set out to murder...

...The New York Times review stated: "The real key to the show, though, is the performance by Bang, who pulls off an even more impressive feat with John Paul, expertly portraying his ghastliness while also rendering him as absolutely human and never for a moment descending into caricature... . And you can't take your own eyes off him."

2024 saw Claes star in the Apple series THE NEW LOOK opposite Juliette Binoche and the feature films BONJOUR TRISTESSE, STOCKHOLM'S BLOODBATH and MASTER / MARGARITA.

Claes next starred in the title role of WILLIAM TELL in the historical epic directed by NickHamm, alongside Sir Ben Kingsley and Sir Jonathan Pryce. The film opened to great acclaim at the Zurich Film Festival.

In 2024, Claes shot the German thriller MUTTERGLUCK, the German family film MOMO and managed to fit-in a workshop with the Royal Shakespeare Company in between! Claes then filmed LA GRANDE ARCHE, in the starring role of the architect who designed the Arc de Triomphe and he ended the year in New Zealand shooting the action movie WRECKING CREW opposite Jason Momoa and David Bautista.

2025 sees Claes playing a Russian General in the feature film BILLION DOLLAR SPY, opposite Russell Crowe. He follows that with THE SECRET WOMAN, for Netflix and then ICH BIN ANDERER, a German feature set in World War 2. Another busy year was completed with the action thriller PAINTER for 20 th Century Studios, which saw Claes starring opposite Amber Midthunder and Walton Goggins.

Born in Odense, Claes is a prolific stage actor in Denmark, Sweden and Germany, having trained at Denmark's National Theatre School. In 2018 he performed a one-man show, THE EVIL at the St. James's Theatre in London.

More London theatre followed in April 2022, when Claes starred in the UK premiere of Jeremy O. Harris's controversial play DADDY, which received 5-star reviews and sold out at The Almeida Theatre.

As well as podcasts such as DIRTY DIANA with Demi Moore and audiobooks including KALLOCAIN for Penguin, Claes recorded a three-part adaptation of BERLIN ALEXANDERPLATZ for BBC Radio 4.

Fluent in five languages, Claes is also a talented singer, songwriter and pianist.
