The iconic Modern Marvels franchise returns with three-part limited series "Modern Marvels: WWII" premiering Monday, July 27 at 10/9c on The HISTORY Channel.

Modern Marvels explores World War II as the ultimate global arms race - where victory depends on who can invent, build, and scale the most incredible engineering marvels. Across three electrifying episodes, the series moves from terrifying Superweapons and massive Mega Builds to fascinating Gear and Gadgets that change the course of history. It's WWII as an all-out battle of innovation - where the world's greatest scientists and engineers decide the fate of nations and influence the technology of today, revealing how urgency, ambition, and imagination accelerate breakthroughs that permanently reshape warfare, industry, and everyday life.

Episode 1 -- "Super Weapons" Premieres Monday, July 27 at 10/9c

WWII unleashes revolutionary superweapons that redefine warfare. From Britain's Bouncing Bomb and Grand Slam, to America's B-29 Superfortress, and Germany's massive Gustav Gun, these innovations shatter defenses, dominate the skies, and lay the groundwork for modern military technology.

Episode 2 -- "Mega Builds" Premieres Monday, August 3 at 9/8c

From blasting through mountains, to building gigantic infrastructure across the sea, to the biggest battleship in history, and iconic builds like the Pentagon and the Maginot Line, WWII engineering is a battle of scale that turns the tide of the war.

Episode 3 -- "Gears and Gadgets" Premieres Monday, August 3 at 10/9c

In this episode, necessity sparks wartime ingenuity, turning compact tools into powerful weapons. From the Bazooka and Cavity Magnetron radar, to the Enigma code machine, to a pioneering night vision scope, engineers and scientists create faster, smarter tools that help win WWII and shape modern warfare.

Each week, a new episode will stream on The HISTORY(R) Channel app, history.com, and across major TV providers' VOD platforms the day after it airs on The HISTORY(R) Channel.
