SHERRI SHEPHERD JOINS LIFETIME'S ANNUAL "STOP BREAST CANCER FOR LIFE" CAMPAIGN WITH NEW PSA IN SUPPORT OF THE BREAST CANCER RESEARCH FOUNDATION
(LOS ANGELES, CA) October 1, 2026 - Lifetime continues its decades-long commitment to women's health with the network's 32nd annual Stop Breast Cancer for Life campaign. This year's public service announcement, created in partnership with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), is led by Emmy Award-winning actress, comedian, producer, author and television host Sherri Shepherd, who recently starred in the Lifetime Original Movie Robin Roberts Presents: Angel in the Rubble, who brings her signature warmth and candor to a message about the importance of knowing your risk, prioritizing screening and advocating for your health.
"Breast cancer is a disease that affects every community, and too many women still put their own health last," said Sherri Shepherd. "I am honored to partner with Lifetime and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation to remind women that taking care of themselves is not selfish, it is necessary. Learn your risk, talk to your doctor, get screened and encourage the women you love to do the same."
"For more than three decades, Lifetime's Stop Breast Cancer for Life campaign has helped put lifesaving information directly into the hands of women and families," said Paul Buccieri, President and Chairman, A+E Global Media. "With Sherri Shepherd lending her voice to this year's campaign, Lifetime is proud to continue raising awareness, encouraging early detection and supporting the groundbreaking research that brings us closer to a future without breast cancer."
The 2026 PSA will air across Lifetime and the A+E Global Media portfolio, including A&E, HISTORY, LMN and FYI, and will be shared across digital and social channels. The campaign will also be amplified by distribution partners, advertising sponsors and nonprofit collaborators throughout October and beyond. The initiative encourages individuals to learn their family and personal risk factors, speak openly with their healthcare providers, follow recommended screening guidelines and act for their health. Lifetime will have four original movies centered on breast cancer, Five, Four Extraordinary Women, Matters of Life and Dating and Living Proof available on demand, on mylifetime.com and on the Lifetime app.
In the United States, one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime, and more than 42,000 Americans die from the disease each year. Thanks to advances in research, detection and treatment, more than four million breast cancer survivors are living and thriving today.
For more than 30 years, Lifetime's Stop Breast Cancer for Life initiative has provided women and families with timely information about prevention, detection, treatment and survivorship. The campaign is made possible through the continued support of Lifetime's distribution partners, sponsors and nonprofit collaborators, and through the essential work of organizations such as BCRF.
