NEW YORK, NY - October 27, 2026 - Just two days after the television premiere of A Christmas Prayer Tradition, Great American Media today announced a third installment of the beloved Christmas franchise is greenlit for Great American Christmas 2027. The announcement follows an exceptionally enthusiastic response from viewers to the latest chapter, starring Shae Robins (A Christmas Prayer, A Christmas Prayer Tradition) and Christopher Russell ("When Hope Calls," A Christmas Prayer, A Christmas Prayer Tradition), whose heartfelt portrayal of faith, love, and compassion continues to resonate deeply with audiences.
The franchise began with A Christmas Prayer, winner of the prestigious 2026 Movieguide Epiphany Prize for Best Family Movie, and continued with A Christmas Prayer Tradition, streaming now on Great American Pure Flix. The films follow Natalie Sands (Robins) and Wes Thornton (Russell) in the picturesque community of Bellford Falls, where prayers inspire action, kindness changes lives, and the true meaning of Christmas is reflected in the ways neighbors care for one another.
"The extraordinary response to A Christmas Prayer Tradition speaks to what makes our films different," said Bill Abbott, President & CEO, Great American Media. "Our stories go beyond the traditions of Christmas to celebrate why the season matters. Faith, love, and goodwill toward all are not simply themes in our films; they are the foundation of our storytelling. Great American Christmas has become America's Christmas Destination because we deliver meaningful entertainment that touches hearts and reminds us of the good we can bring into the world. When audiences embrace a story so wholeheartedly, there is no greater affirmation of our mission than the opportunity to tell the next chapter."
The third installment will reunite Robins, Russell, and Cox as Natalie, Wes, and Caroline, continuing a franchise distinguished by its uplifting stories of answered prayers and the profound impact of everyday acts of kindness.
The newest film will premiere as part of Great American Christmas 2027, further strengthening Great American Media's commitment to Original Christmas entertainment that celebrates Christmas as it is meant to be.
