Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: "The Voice," "Chicago Fire" Claim Top Spots

Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (3/3/15):

NBC (13.274 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.4, #1) dominated the competition on Tuesday with a two-hour "The Voice" (15.343 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 4.1, #1) and a new "Chicago Fire" (9.137 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.2, #2).

ABC (4.614 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T2) then claimed the silver with its mix of "Fresh Off the Boat" (5.983 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.7, #3), "Repeat After Me" (4.041 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T7), the returning "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" (4.464 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.6, #4) and "Forever" (4.365 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T9).

Next up was FOX (3.202 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T2) and the season premiere of "Hell's Kitchen" (4.082 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.4, #5) followed by new episodes of "New Girl" (2.498 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.3, #6) and "The Mindy Project" (2.145 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T9).

Meanwhile, CBS (8.354 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #4) offered up its all-repeat lineup of "NCIS" (10.747 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T7), "NCIS: New Orleans" (8.796 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T9) and "Person of Interest" (5.519 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.9, #12).

And finally, repeats of "The Flash" (1.490 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.4, #13) and "Supernatural" (0.866 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.3, #14) closed out the evening on The CW (1.178 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5). In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), the former posted a 0.4 rating while the latter delivered a 0.3 rating.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.2/6; "Late Show," 0.4/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.5/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.0/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 16 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (3/4/14):

NBC (9.783 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.7, #1) was still the demo king on Tuesday with its mix of "The Voice" (14.376 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 4.0, #1), "About a Boy" (8.713 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 2.6, #2), "Growing Up Fisher" (7.056 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 2.0, #5) and "Chicago Fire" (7.089 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.9, #6).

CBS (14.185 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.1, #2) then was the most-watched network with fresh installments of "NCIS" (17.684 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.4, #3), "NCIS: Los Angeles" (14.285 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.1, #4) and "Person of Interest" (10.586 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T7).

Next up was ABC (3.545 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T3) with the return of "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" (5.114 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T7), "The Goldbergs" (4.157 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.6, #9), "Trophy Wife" (2.643 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T14) and week two of "Mind Games" (2.120 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.6, #16).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.683 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T3) offered up its lineup of "Glee" (2.595 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 1.0, #12), "New Girl" (2.927 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.5, #10) and "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (2.615 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.3, #11).
