"One Tree Hill" Climbs to Most Watched Episode of Season

"Top Model" Ties for First in Women 18-34; Ranks Second in Adults 18-34 and Women 18-49

Both "Top Model" and "One Tree Hill" Improve Versus Year Ago

October 26, 2006 (Burbank, CA) -- The CW remains in growth mode as both "America's Next Top Model" and "One Tree Hill" were on the rise this week, lifting the network to second place on Wednesday in its target demos of adults 18-34 (2.7/8) and women 18-34 (3.9/11), according to preliminary live plus same day Nielsen ratings for Wednesday, Oct. 25.

"America's Next Top Model" improved over last week by 17% in adults 18-34 (3.4/11), 11% in women 18-34 (4.9/15), 8% in adults 18-49 (2.7/8), 5% in women 18-49 (3.9/10), 6% in viewers (5.5mil).

With growth this week of 20% in viewers, "One Tree Hill" (3.6mil) climbed to its most watched episode of the season. "One Tree Hill" was up over last week by 17% in adults 18-34 (2.1/6), 3% in women 18-34 (3.0/8), 23% in adults 18-49 (1.6/4) and 10% in women 18-49 (2.2/5).

Competitively, "Top Model" tied for first in the 8-9PM hour among women 18-34, and ranked second among adults 18-34 and women 18-49, behind only ABC. "Top Model" also beat Fox and NBC in the hour among adults 18-49.

Versus its performance a year ago (10/26/05), "Top Model" was up 6% in adults 18-34 and 4% in adults 18-49. Compared to its delivery a year ago (10/26/05 at 8:00p.m.), "One Tree Hill" scored year-to-year gains of 5% in adults 18-34, 15% in women 18-34, 5% in women 18-49 and 6 % in viewers.

The CW's Wednesday line-up remains a significant improvement over The WB on the same night a year ago (10/25/05), including 59% in adults 18-34, 63% in women 18-34 (3.9/11), 50% in adults 18-49, 50% in women 18-49 (3.0/7) and 48% in viewers (4.5mil).
