"One Tree Hill" Posts Largest Audience of Season

October 31, 2006 (Burbank, CA) -- Through six weeks of the season, The CW Network is out-performing both The WB and UPN through the same point last year with regularly scheduled programming in the target demos of adults 18-34 (1.8/5) with gains of 6% over each. CW mirrors The WB's scheduling model with 6 nights and 13 hours of primetime programming.

Season to date, The CW is also improving over The WB with regularly scheduled programming among women 18-34 (2.2/6, +5%).

Tuesday 10/24/06

"Gilmore Girls" and "Veronica Mars" combined to give The CW's its most watched Tuesday to date (4.03mil) and best Tuesday in adults 18-49 (1.8/5) and women 18-49 (2.5/6-tie).

"Gilmore Girls" ranked second in the hour with its target demo of women 18-34 (3.2/9), and third among women 18-49 (3.1/8).

"Veronica Mars" posted new season highs in adults 18-34 (1.8/5) and adults 18-49 (1.9/5), marking the series second best ratings EVER in adults 18-34 (tie) and adults 18-49. "Veronica" also matched its season highs in women 18-34 (2.3/6) and women 18-49 (1.9/5).

Wednesday 10/25/06

"America's Next Top Model" and "One Tree Hill" combined to rank The CW second on Wednesday night in adults 18-34 (2.8/8) and women 18-34 (4.0/11).

"Top Model" tied for first in the 8-9PM hour among women 18-34, and ranked second among adults 18-34 and women 18-49, behind only ABC.

"America's Next Top Model" improved over last week by 17% in adults 18-34 (3.4/11) and 8% in adults 18-49 (2.7/8), matching season highs in each. "Top Model" also built over last week by 14% in women 18-34 (5.0/15), 5% in women 18-49 (3.9/10), 6% in viewers (5.5mil).

With growth this week of 24% in viewers, "One Tree Hill" (3.7mil) climbed to its most watched episode of the season. "One Tree Hill" was up over last week by 17% in adults 18-34 (2.1/6), 3% in women 18-34 (3.0/8), 23% in adults 18-49 (1.6/4) and 10% in women 18-49 (2.2/5).

Thursday 10/26/06

The CW scored week-to-week gains on Thursday, including 6% in viewers (4.2mil), 12% in adults 18-49 (1.9/5), 5% in men 18-34 (2.3/7), 18% in men 18-49 (2.0/6) and 6% in women 18-49 (1.8/5).

"Smallville" hit new season highs in men 18-34 (3.0/10) and men 18-49 (2.5/7) and matched its season best in adults 18-34 (2.5/8) and 18-49 (2.2/6). Compared to last week, "Smallville" was up week-to week in key adult and men demos.

"Smallville" ranked second in the hour among men 18-34, behind only Fox.

"Supernatural" built from week-to-week by 11% in viewers (3.7mil), 7% in adults 18-49 (1.6/4), 13% in women 18-49 (1.8/4) and 7% in men 18-49 (1.5/4). "Supernatural" also held 90% of "Smallville's" women 18-34 (1.8/5 v. 2.0/6) audience and 100% of its women 18-49 (1.8/4 v. 1.8/5) audience.

Versus "Everwood" a year ago (10/27/05), "Supernatural" improved the time period by 21% in adults 18-34 (1.7/5), 23% in adults 18-49, 113% in men 18-34 (1.7/5), and 114% in men 18-49.
