ABC Qualifies as the Most-Watched Network on the First Tuesday of the Season

For the Second Straight Night, ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" Wins its Time Period In Viewers and Young Adults and Is the Most-Watched TV Show of the Evening

"DWTS" Generates ABC's Top Numbers in the Time Slot Since November �06

Opposite Stiff Competition, the Season Premiere of "Boston Legal" Attracts ABC's Biggest Audience in the Time Period in 4 Months

Tuesday Night (8:00-11:00 p.m.)

ABC qualified as the most-watched television network (14.3 million) on the opening Tuesday of the '07-08 season, while holding the No. 2 position on the evening in Adults 18-49 (3.6/10-tied w/NBC).

"Dancing with the Stars" (8:00-9:30 p.m.)

On the second evening of its three-night premiere event, ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" ranked No. 1 in its 90-minute time period in both Total Viewers (18.3 million) and Adults 18-49 (4.7/13) for the second consecutive night. Although it faced season premiere competition during its telecast, including Fox's high-rated opener of "House" in the 9 o'clock hour, "DWTS" gained audience throughout its telecast, surging by 3.2 million viewers (16.6 million to 19.8 million) and 19% in Adults 18-49 (4.2/13 to 5.0/12) from start to finish. The ABC unscripted series qualified as the most-watched TV show on Tuesday.

� "Dancing with the Stars" produced ABC's best viewer and young adult numbers in the time slot in over 10 months � since 11/7/06.

Boston Legal" (9:30-11:00 p.m.)

In its fourth season opener against stiff competition from the final half-hour of "House" and NBC's season opener of "Law & Order: SVU" at 10:00 p.m., ABC's "Boston Legal" drew 10.3 million viewers and a 2.5 rating, 7 share among Adults 18-49 in its 90-minute time period.

� "Boston Legal" attracted ABC's biggest audience to the time period in 4 months � since 5/22/07. In addition, the ABC legal drama matched its largest audience on the night since last October � since 10/31/06.
