GOSSIP GIRL Sets New Time Period Highs for The CW Monday 8-9pm, First Original Episode Since January Scores Third Highest Ratings Ever for the Series

ONE TREE HILL Continues Strong Performance Since Moving to Mondays, Builds on Gossip Girl in Key Demos

April 22, 2008 (Burbank, CA) � The return of The CW's freshman sensation GOSSIP GIRL, paired with the hit drama ONE TREE HILL on the network's new night of drama, powered The CW to its best Monday night ratings EVER in adults 18-34 (2.0/6), women 18-34 (3.0/8) and female teens (3.0/9), according to preliminary live plus same day Nielsen ratings for Monday, April 21, 2008.

With its first original Monday episode, GOSSIP GIRL scored The CW's highest ratings ever in the Monday 8-9pm time period among adults 18-34 (1.9/6) and women 18-34 (2.9/8). GOSSIP GIRL returned to deliver the series third best performance ever in adults 18-34 (1.9/6) and women 18-34 (2.9/8). It was the highest rated episode in both of these categories since 11/14/08.

GOSSIP GIRL was second in the time period in females 12-34 (2.9/8), women 18-34 and first in female teens (2.7/9).

At 9:00, ONE TREE HILL continued its strong performance since moving to Monday, matching its delivery last week in women 18-34 (3.1/8). ONE TREE HILL built on its GOSSIP GIRL lead-in by 5% in adults 18-34 (2.0/5), 7% in women 18-34, 8% in adults 18-34, 38% in teens (2.2/7) and 19% in female teens (3.2/9).

ONE TREE HILL also ranked second in the time period with females 12-34 (2.1/6) and women 18-34 (3.1/8) and first with female teens (3.2/9).

Overall, The CW ranked second from 8-10:00pm on Monday with females 12-34 (3.0/8) and women 18-34 (3.0/8) and first in female teens (3.0/9).
