CBS Places First in Viewers for the 19th Week This Season

CBS PLACES FIRST IN VIEWERS FOR THE 19TH WEEK THIS SEASON

CBS Continues as Only Network Posting Year-to-Year Increases in all Key Measures

Network's Deep Roster of Hits Results in 10 of the Top 15 Shows of the Week

"CSI" is the Top Scripted Program

"The Unit" Marches to Season Highs

CBS's Wednesday Lineup Delivers its Largest Audience Since December

CBS placed first in viewers for the 19th time in 25 weeks and continues as the only network to post year-to-year increases in all key measures, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending March 15, week 25 of the 2008-2009 television season.

CBS had 10 of the week's top 15 programs led by CSI, the No. 1 scripted program. Also in the week, THE UNIT delivered its largest audience of the season and matched its adult 18-49 high and the Network's Wednesday lineup scored its largest audience since December.

For the week in viewers: CBS (11.14m), FOX (10.93m), ABC (8.29m) and NBC (6.10m). Season-to-date, CBS is first in viewers (11.78m), ahead of FOX (9.52m), ABC (8.93m) and NBC (8.23m).

Season-to-date compared to last season, CBS is the only broadcast network to improve its deliveries in viewers (+12%), adults 18-49 (+3%), adults 25-54 (+8%) and adults 18-34 (+5%).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was second in adults 25-54 (3.7/09) and adults 18-49 (2.8/08). CBS was up +46% in viewers, +37% in adults 25-54 and +33% in adults 18-49 compared to the same week last year.

For the week in households: CBS (6.9/11), FOX (6.4/10), ABC (5.3/09) and NBC (3.9/06). In households, season-to-date, CBS is first (7.3/12), ahead of ABC (5.7/09), FOX (5.6/09) and NBC (5.0/08).

CBS's Weekly Highlights:

? CSI MIAMI was first in households (9.0/15), viewers (14.22m), adults 25-54 (5.4/13) and adults 18-49 (4.3/11). Compared to last week, CSI: MIAMI was up +5% in households (from 8.6/14), +10% in adults 25-54 (from 4.9/11), +13% in adults 18-49 (from 3.8/09) and added +800,000 viewers (from 13.42m, +6%).

? THE MENTALIST (R) was second in households (9.0/14) and viewers (14.32m), out delivering every scripted program on the competition except "Desperate Housewives."

-- On Wednesday, CBS was second in households (7.4/12), viewers (11.84m), adults 25-54 (4.1/10) and adults 18-49 (3.1/08) Wednesday. Compared to the last night of first run Wednesday programs, CBS was up +3% in households (from 7.2/12), +8% in adults 25-54 (from 3.8/09), +11% in adults 18-49 (from 2.8/07) and added +630,000 viewers (from 11.21m, +6%). This is CBS's largest Wednesday audience and highest rated in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 since Dec. 17, 2008.

? THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE was second in households (4.8/08), viewers (7.46m), adults 25-54 (2.8/08) and adults 18-49 (2.1/06). Compared to the last first run episode (on February 18, 2009), OLD CHRISTINE was up +12% in both households (from 4.3/07) and adults 25-54 (from 2.5/06), +17% in adults 18-49 (from 1.8/05) and added +740,000 viewers (from 6.72m, +11%).

? GARY UNMARRIED was second in households (4.8/08), viewers (7.63m), adults 25-54 (3.0/08) and adults 18-49 (2.3/07). Compared to the last first run episode (on February 18, 2009), GARY UNMARRIED was up +17% in households (from 4.1/09), +20% in adults 25-54 (from 2.5/06), +21% in adults 18-49 (from 1.9/06) and added +1.13m viewers (from 6.50m, +17%).

? CRIMINAL MINDS was second in households (8.9/14), viewers (14.34m), adults 25-54 (4.8/11) and adults 18-49 (3.6/09). Compared to the last first run episode (on February 25, 2009), CRIMINAL MINDS was up +4% in adults 25-54 (from 4.6/10), +3% in adults 18-49 (from 3.5/09) and added +410,000 viewers (from 13.93m, +3%).

? CSI: NY was first in households (8.6/14), viewers (13.63m), adults 25-54 (4.6/12) and adults 18-49 (3.5/10). Compared to the last first run episode (on February 25, 2009), CSI: NY was up +6% in households (from 8.1/14), +10% in adults 25-54 (from 4.2/10), +13% in adults 18-49 (from 3.1/08) and added +1.07m viewers (from 12.56m, +9%).

? SURVIVOR: TOCANTINS was first in its time slot in households (7.3/12), viewers (12.82m), adults 25-54 (5.0/13) and adults 18-49 (4.1/12). Compared to last week, SURVIVOR: TOCANTINS was up +4% in households (from 7.0/11), +9% in adults 25-54 (from 4.6/11), +8% in adults 18-49 (from 3.8/10) and added +970,000 viewers (from 11.85m, +9%).

? CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION was first in households (10.3/16), viewers (17.13m), tied for first in adults 25-54 (5.7/13, with ABC) and second in adults 18-49 (4.2/11).

? ELEVENTH HOUR was first in households (7.2/12) and viewers (11.61m).

--Friday, CBS won the night in households (6.1/11), viewers (9.63m), adults 25-54 (2.9/08) and adults 18-49 (2.0/06). CBS was first in adults 25-54 for the 22nd time in 23 Fridays, first in adults 18-49 for the 21st time in 23 Fridays. CBS was first in every half-hour in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and in five of six half-hours in adults 18-49.

? GHOST WHISPERER won its time period in households (6.6/12), viewers (10.57m), adults 25-54 (3.4/10) and adults 18-49 (2.5/09). First run episodes of GHOST WHISPERER won their time slot every week this season in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.

? FLASHPOINT was first in households (5.5/10), viewers (8.81m), adults 25-54 (2.5/07) and adults 18-49 (1.7/05).

? NUMB3RS was first in households (6.0/11), viewers (9.51m), adults 25-54 (2.7/07) and tied for first in adults 18-49 (1.9/06, with ABC). .

? 60 MINUTES was first in households (8.1/14), viewers (12.87m), adults 25-54 (3.1/09) and adults 18-49 (2.2/07) - sweeping its time slot for the second consecutive week.
