Original Movies Drive Hallmark Channel to Deliver All-Time-High Women Demo Deliveries and Rank Network in Top 10 for 1st Quarter and March

ORIGINAL MOVIES DRIVE HALLMARK CHANNEL TO DELIVER ALL-TIME-HIGH WOMEN DEMO DELIVERIES AND RANK NETWORK IN TOP 10 FOR 1ST QUARTER AND MARCH

The results are in and Hallmark Channel's original movies powered the network to its highest-ever first quarter demo deliveries among women, and ranked it in the Prime Time top ten among all ad-supported cable networks. In 1Q, Hallmark Channel delivered 223,000 W25-54, a +13% increase over 1Q '08 and 158,000 W18-49, a +5% increase over 1Q '08.

Hallmark Channel ranks #7 in Prime Time with a 1.2 HH rating, 996,000 homes and 1.3 million total viewers.

Hallmark Channel premiered seven new original movies in the quarter, averaging a 2.4 HH rating. The audience grew substantially over 1Q '08, increasing +30% and +26% in W25-54 and A25-54 demos, respectively.

In March, Hallmark Channel also experienced its highest ever women demo deliveries with 207,000 W25-54, a +20% increase over March '08 and 151,000 W18-49, a +16% increase over March '08. Additionally, for the month, Hallmark Channel ranks #9 in Prime Time with a 1.1 HH rating, 944,000 homes and 1.25 million total viewers.

In March, Hallmark Channel premiered "The Golden Girls," which has increased time period delivery in every daypart: daytime, 14%; early fringe, +20%; and, late night, +26%.

For the week of March 23-29, Hallmark Channel ranked #9 with a 1.0 HH rating, 900,000 homes and 1.2 million total viewers.

In addition to the network's ratings and demo performances, it is now available in an all-time high of 86 million homes.
