Discovery Channel Continues to Build on Ratings Success with Alaska-Themed Mythbusters and All-New Pitchmen

DISCOVERY CHANNEL CONTINUES TO BUILD ON RATINGS SUCCESS WITH ALASKA-THEMED MYTHBUSTERS AND ALL-NEW PITCHMEN

-- MYTHBUSTERS Tops the 9PM Time Slot among Men 18-34* --

The Wednesday, April 15 at 9PM premiere episode of MYTHBUSTERS, 'Alaska Special 2,' saw double-digit delivery gains over its 2Q08, April '08 and prior six week timeslots among P/M/W25-54, P/M/W18-49 demos, P/M18-34 and P2+. P2+ delivery (1,858 mil) was +47% higher than its 2Q08 timeslot and +50% higher than the prior six weeks.

MYTHBUSTERS won the 9PM ad-supported cable time slot among M18-34 and was #2 among M25-54, P18-49, M18-49 and P18-34. The Alaska-themed show ranked third among M18-34 for all of prime in ad-supported cable.

Following MYTHBUSTERS at 10PM was the world premiere of the series PITCHMEN, featuring infomercial kings Billy Mays and Anthony "Sully" Sullivan. The first episode, "High Impact Item," posted triple-digit delivery gains over the April '08 Wednesday 10P timeslot among P/M/W 25-54, P/M/W18-49, M18-34 and P2+. Averaging a P2+ delivery of 1.884 million, Pitchmen outperformed its prior six week timeslot by +51% and 2Q08 by +85% and April '08 by 128%.

On ad-supported cable, PITCHMEN ranked second among M25-54 in its 10PM time slot and ranked third among M25-54 for all of prime in ad-supported cable.
