CBS PLACES FIRST IN VIEWERS AND ADULTS 18-49 ON THE FIRST WEDNESDAY OF THE NEW SEASON

Premieres of CBS Dramas "Criminal Minds" and "CSI: NY" Post 9:00-11:00 PM Time Period Win in Adults 18-49

CBS's 8:00-9:00 PM Comedy Block Posts Year-to-Year Increases

The Season Premiere of "Criminal Minds" Is the Night's No. 1 Program in Viewers and Adults 25-54

"CSI: NY" Posts Best Deliveries in Viewers and Adults 18-49 in Nearly a Year

CBS placed first in viewers and adults 18-49 (tie) on the first Wednesday of the new season led by the season premieres of CRIMINAL MINDS and CSI: NY and year-to-year gains for the 8:00-9:00 PM comedy block, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Sept. 23.

THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE (P) (4.9/08, 7.68m) was second in adults 25-54 (2.9/09) and averaged a 2.3/07 in adults 18-49 (2.3/07, -0.1 behind FOX). This is the best delivery of THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE in viewers since Dec. 10, 2008, in adults 25-54 since March 18, 2009 and in adults 18-49 since Nov. 19, 2008. CHRISTINE was up 18% in viewers (from 6.53m) and +10% in adults 18-49 (from 2.1/06) versus last year's premiere.

GARY UNMARRIED (P) (4.6/07, 7.37m) was second in adults 25-54 (3.0/08) and averaged a 2.4/07 in adults 18-49. This is the best delivery of GARY UNMARRIED in households, viewers and adults 25-54 since March 18, 2009 and in adults 18-49 since Dec. 10, 2008. GARY UNMARRIED was up +8% in viewers (from 6.84m) and even in adults 18-49 compared to last year's premiere.

At 9PM, CRIMINAL MINDS (P) was first in households (9.4/15), viewers (15.42m), adults 25-54 (5.4/13) and second in adults 18-49 (4.2/11, -0.1 behind ABC). This is the best delivery of CRIMINAL MINDS in both households and adults 25-54 since Dec.17, 2008, in both viewers and adults 18-49 since Nov. 19, 2008. CRIMINAL MINDS is the night's #1 program in viewers and adults 25-54.

CSI: NY (P) at 10PM was first in households (9.0/16), viewers (14.57m), adults 25-54 (4.9/13) and adults 18-49 (4.0/11). CSI: NY posted its best delivery in both households and adults 25-54 since Nov. 19, 2008, in viewers and adults 18-49 since Oct. 8, 2008.

For the night, CBS was first in viewers (12.50m), adults 25-54 (4.4/11), tied for first in households (7.7/13, with ABC) and adults 18-49 (3.5/10, with ABC).
