CBS DOMINATES THE WEEK IN VIEWERS AND KEY DEMOS

ONLY CBS Scores Across-the-Board Increases Compared to the Same Week a Year Ago

"NCIS" Reigns as the Number One Program; "NCIS: Los Angeles" Is the Number One New Series

"Survivor: Samoa" and "The Amazing Race" Notch Largest Audiences of the Season

CBS continued its season-long winning streak, placing first in viewers for the third consecutive week and first in key demographics, winning all categories by the largest margins of any network this season, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Oct. 11, week three of the 2009-2010 television season.

CBS posted its best deliveries in viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 since April and was the ONLY network to see year-to-year gains in all key measures. CBS now leads for the season in all key ratings categories.

CBS dramas dominated the Top 10: NCIS (No. 1), NCIS: LOS ANGELES (No. 3), CSI (No. 5), THE MENTALIST (No. 6) and CRIMINAL MINDS (No. 9). Right behind were THE GOOD WIFE (No. 11), CSI: MIAMI (No. 12) and CSI: NY (No. 16).

For the week in viewers: CBS (12.19m), ABC (8.41m), NBC (7.52m) and FOX (6.54m). Season-to-date, CBS is first in viewers (12.17m), ahead of ABC (10.01m), NBC (7.81m) and FOX (7.56m).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was first in both adults 25-54 (4.2/11) and adults 18-49 (3.3/09). Compared to the same week last year, CBS was up +10% in households, +11% in viewers, +5% in adults 25-54 and +3% in adults 18-49. CBS was the only network to post gains in all these measures. Season-to-date, CBS is first in adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.

For the week in households: CBS (7.6/13), ABC (5.4/09), NBC (4.8/08) and FOX (3.9/06). In households, season-to-date, CBS is first (7.6/13), ahead of ABC (6.4/11), NBC (4.9/08) and FOX (4.5/07).

CBS's Weekly Highlights:

? TWO AND A HALF MEN was first in adults 25-54 (5.5/12), adults 18-49 (4.4/10), second behind ABC in both households (8.4/12) and viewers (13.30m).

? THE BIG BANG THEORY was first in adults 25-54 (5.6/12), adults 18-49 (4.7/11), adults 18-34 (3.3/08), second in both households (7.8/12) and viewers (12.52m). THE BIG BANG THEORY built on its TWO AND A HALF MEN lead-in by +2% in adults 25-54, +7% in adults 18-49 and +22% in adults 18-34..

? CSI: MIAMI was first in households (8.7/14), viewers (13.43m), adults 25-54 (4.9/12), adults 18-49 (3.9/10) and adults 18-34 (2.9/08). CSI: MIAMI beat the competition combined in adults 25-54 (vs. 4.6/11, +7%), adults 18-49 (vs. 3.7/10, +5%) and adults 18-34 (vs. 2.8/08, +4%).

-- CBS was first in households (10.6/17), viewers (16.90m), adults 25-54 (5.1/13) and adults 18-49 (3.6/10) for the third consecutive Tuesday. CBS has won this CBS won every half-hour in viewers and adults 25-54 also for the third consecutive week and won four of six half-hours in adults 18-49.

? NCIS won its time slot in households (12.6/20), viewers (20.70m), adults 25-54 (6.0/15) and adults 18-49 (4.3/12) for the third consecutive week. This was the second largest audience ever for NCIS. NCIS was the night's #1 program in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.

? NCIS: LOS ANGELES was first in households (10.2/16), viewers (16.31m), adults 25-54 (5.1/12) - all for the third consecutive week - and second in adults 18-49 (3.6/09).

? THE GOOD WIFE was first in households (8.9/15), viewers (13.69m), adults 25-54 (4.1/11) and adults 18-49 (2.9/08) for the third consecutive week.

-- Wednesday, CBS was first in households (7.1/12), viewers (11.11m), adults 25-54 (3.8/10) and tied for first in adults 18-49 (2.9/08, with FOX). CBS finished first in these measures for the third consecutive Wednesday.

? CRIMINAL MINDS was first in households (8.8/14), viewers (14.05m), adults 25-54 (4.9/12) and adults 18-49 (3.6/09). CRIMINAL MINDS was the night's #1 program in viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.

? CSI: NY was first in households (8.2/14), viewers (12.43m), adults 25-54 (3.9/10) and adults 18-49 (2.9/08). CSI: NY beat NBC and ABC combined in viewers (vs. 10.86m, +14%).

-- Thursday, CBS was first in households (8.5/14), viewers (13.77m), adults 25-54 (4.6/12) and second in adults 18-49 (3.4/09). CBS won every half-hour in viewers.

? SURVIVOR: SAMOA was first in households (7.0/11), viewers (11.69m), adults 25-54 (4.5/12) and adults 18-49 (3.4/10) for the second consecutive week. This is SURVIVOR: SAMOA's largest audience this season.

? CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION was first in households (9.3/14), viewers (14.90m), second in adults 25-54 (4.8/11). CSI was the night's #1 program in viewers.

? THE MENTALIST was first in households (9.4/16), viewers (14.70m), adults 25-54 (4.6/12) and second in adults 18-49 (3.3/09). THE MENTALIST beat NBC and ABC combined in viewers (vs. 14.34m, +3%).

? GHOST WHISPERER was first in households (5.4/10), viewers (8.78m), adults 25-54 (3.0/09) and adults 18-49 (2.2/08) for the third consecutive week. Compared to last week, GHOST WHISPERER was up +13% in households (from 4.8/09), +20% in adults 25-54 (from 2.5/08), +29% in adults 18-49 (from 1.7/07) and added +1.16m viewers (from 7.62m, +15%).

? MEDIUM was first in households (5.2/09), viewers (8.29m), adults 25-54 (2.7/08) and adults 18-49 (2.0/06). MEDIUM won its time period for the third consecutive week in viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49. Compared to last week, MEDIUM was up +2% in households (from 5.1/09), +4% in adults 25-54 (from 2.6/08), +5% in adults 18-49 (from 1.9/06) and added +450,000 viewers (from 7.84m, +6%).

? NUMB3RS was first in households (4.9/09), viewers (7.34m), adults 25-54 (2.3/06) and adults 18-49 (1.6/05). This was NUMB3RS third consecutive time period win in households and viewers, second in adults 25-54 and first win this season in adults 18-49.

-- Saturday, CBS, with HOME DEPOT PRIME COLLEGE FOOTBALL "Florida at LSU" (S) was first in households (6.1/11), viewers (10.49m), adults 25-54 (4.0/11), adults 18-49 (3.6/12), adults 18-34 (2.9/11), men 25-54 (5.2/15), men 18-49 (4.5/15) and men 18-34 (3.4/14) from 8:00-11:00PM. This is CBS's best Saturday delivery in households, viewers, adults and men demos since April 4, 2009 (Final Four Saturday).

? HOME DEPOT PRIME COLLEGE FOOTBALL "Florida at LSU" (S) (8:00PM-11:17PM) scored a 6.1/11 in households with 10.50m viewers and a 5.2/15 in men 25-54, 4.5/15 in men 18-49, 3.4/14 in men 18-34, 4.0/11 in adults 25-54, 3.6/12 in adults 18-49 and 2.9/11 in adults 18-34. Compared to this game last year (on October 11, 2008), CBS was up +61% in households, +93% in men 25-54, +80% in men 18-49, +42% in men 18-49, +90% in adults 25-54, +80% in adults 18-49 and +45% in adults 18-34.

-- CBS's NFL runover from 7:00-7:43PM posted a 15.3/27 with 25.84m viewers, 10.0/28 in adults 25-54 and 9.0/28 in adults 18-49.

? 60 MINUTES (7:43-8:43PM) delivered a 9.1/15 with 14.54m viewers, 4.4/11 in adults 25-54 and 3.5/09 in adults 18-49 - all first in the 7:30-8:30PM time slot.

? THE AMAZING RACE 15 (8:43-9:43PM) delivered a 6.1/09 in households, 10.52m viewers, 4.0/09 in adults 25-54, 3.2/08 in adults 18-49. This was a season-high for THE AMAZING RACE 15 in viewers.
