Halloween 2009 is Syfy.com's Best Day In History for Uniques and Visits

New York, NY � November 3, 2009 � Syfy's annual 31 Days of Halloween, sparked by the Ghost Hunters Halloween Live Countdown, scared up a record number of Adults 18-34 (319,000) and Adults 18-49 (759,000), along with nearly 1.5 million (1.48 million) total viewers, during its month-long spook-a-thon from October 1-31.

The special Halloween edition of Ghost Hunters, the #1 paranormal investigative series on television, beguiled 1.8 million total viewers during its Saturday, October 31 telecast from 7PM-1AM (ET/PT).

Syfy's 31 Days of Halloween was by far the leading network for ghoulish entertainment, bedeviling ABC Family's 13 Nights of Halloween (October 19-31) with 29% more A18-49, +65% A25-54 and +18% total viewers.

Syfy also entranced +41% more A18-34, +50% A18-49, +60% A25-54 and +56% total viewers than AMC's Fearfest (October 23-31).

Following its best October in history, Syfy ranked #3 among basic cable entertainment networks in A25-54 and #4 in A18-49 during the 31 Days of Halloween.

Online, Halloween 2009 established a frightening array of new marks * as Syfy.com posted its best day in history among uniques (534K) and visits (702K):

Versus Halloween 2008, Syfy.com was +18% in uniques and +21% in visits

Ghost Hunters Halloween Live Countdown delivered 12.7 million streams, more than 10 times last year (1.2 million)

Overall, Syfy.com had its best October ever with 4.1 million uniques, 6.6 million visits and 39.9 million page views

Best month ever with 8.1 million video streams (*Omniture for all data except Ghost Hunters Live streams, which is Akamai)
