LAKE PLACID 3, STARRING COLIN FERGUSON (EUREKA), BECOMES MOST WATCHED SYFY TELECAST SINCE OCTOBER 2009

MOST WATCHED SYFY SATURDAY ORIGINAL MOVIE SINCE 2007

DEVOURS THREE MILLION VIEWERS AND 1.3 MILLION ADULTS 25-54 DURING AUGUST 21 PREMIERE

New York, New York - August 24, 2010 - The crocs went wild on Saturday night when Lake Placid 3, which starred Colin Ferguson (Eureka), gobbled up three million total viewers (3.0) and 1.3 million Adults 25-54 -- the most watched Syfy telecast since Ghost Hunters (October 2009) and the most watched Saturday Original Movie since Lake Placid 2 (April 2007), based on Live +Same Day data.

During its August 21 premiere from 9-11PM (ET/PT), Lake Placid 3 was the #1 ranked cable program in prime (8-11PM) among Adults 25-54. The movie also averaged a 2.2 household rating and 935,000 Adults 18-49.

Lake Placid 3 ranks just back of 2004's Dragon Storm (3.03 million total viewers) as the fourth most watched Saturday Original Movie ever, narrowly behind 2005's Pterodactyl (3.10 million total viewers) and Lake Placid 2 (3.12 million total viewers).

The October 28, 2009 episode of Ghost Hunters averaged 3.06 million total viewers.

In Lake Placid 3, Ferguson portrayed a game warden that moves his family to Lake Placid, once the site of deadly crocodile attacks. Locals assure him the crocs are gone, but his mischievous young son finds a few baby crocs and begins feeding them. They quickly grow into very big adults and start attacking the game warden's family and nearby town. Lake Placid 3 also starred Yancy Butler (Kick-Ass) and Michael Ironside (Terminator Salvation). A UFO production for Sony.

And don't forget! Roger Corman's Sharktopus, starring Eric Roberts, premieres Saturday, September 25, at 9PM (ET/PT).
