SYFY'S EUREKA SCORES MOST-WATCHED SUMMER SEASON EVER AND 4TH CONSECUTIVE SUMMER OF TOTAL AUDIENCE GROWTH

Hit Dramedy Averages More Than 3.1 Million Weekly Total Viewers with Final Live +7 Data for Season 4.0

NEW YORK - September 28, 2010 - Syfy's original dramedy series Eureka continues to fire on all cylinders with the first half of its 4th season ranking as its most-watched half season ever with final Live +7 data factored in. The mid-season finale of Eureka aired on Friday, September 10.

Eureka, which is currently Syfy's longest running original scripted series, averaged 3.155 million total viewers per week, 1.398 million Adults 18-49 per week (+1% vs. 2009) and had its best season ever in adults 18-34 (584,000 / +8% vs. 2009).

This performance also marks the series' 4th consecutive summer of year-on-year growth in total viewers.

Average weekly total viewers in 2007 - 2.48 million

Average weekly total viewers in 2008 - 2.972 million (+20% vs. 2007)

Average weekly total viewers in 2009 - 3.148 million (+6% vs. 2008)

Average weekly total viewers in 2010 - 3.155 million (+0.2% vs. 2009)

Eureka seems like any other cozy, Pacific Northwest town, but is actually a secret community of geniuses assembled by the government to conduct top-secret research. What they've unwittingly created is a place where anything imaginable can happen and does. Eureka stars Colin Ferguson, Salli Richardson-Whitfield, Joe Morton, Erica Cerra, Neil Grayston, Niall Matter, James Callis and features Jordon Hinson. Co-creator Jaime Paglia and Bruce Miller are Executive Producers.

Syfy announced last month that it had renewed Eureka for a 5th season. Universal Cable Productions produces the series.

In addition to great ratings, Eureka also achieved new creative heights including: a time-altering storyline that reset the series raising both the drama and stakes for the main characters; the addition of James Callis (Battlestar Galactica) as Dr. Charles Grant'; a first-ever crossover episode with Syfy's Warehouse 13; a top-notch lineup of special guest stars including Ming-Na, Jaime Ray Newman, Ed Quinn, Wil Wheaton, Jamie Kennedy, Chris Parnell, Matt Frewer and Felicia Day; and a holiday episode slated to air in December.
