SYFY'S "FACT OR FAKED: PARANORMAL FILES" SEASON TWO PREMIERE MOST WATCHED SERIES EPISODE EVER

LEAPS 47 PERCENT IN ADULTS 25-54 AND 40 PERCENT AMONG ADULTS 18-49 COMPARED TO SUMMER SERIES DEBUT

NEW YORK - March 25, 2010 - Syfy's Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files set series records during its season two premiere on Wednesday, March 23 (10-11 PM ET/PT). The episode soared 40 percent in Adults 18-49 (621,000) and 47 percent in Adults 25-54 (680,000), compared to the summer series premiere in July 2010.

The episode delivered 1.19 million total viewers, the highest number of total viewers in the series' history, up 31 percent versus July '10 premiere, and averaged 216,000 Adults 18-34, a season premiere high.

Wednesday's episode, which investigated the historic Battle of LA and the mysterious Queen Mary in Long Beach, boosted Syfy to #5 in prime for Adults 25-54 among entertainment cable networks.

The Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files team includes former FBI Special Agent Ben Hansen, lead scientist Bill Murphy, journalist Jael de Pardo, photography expert Chi-Lan Lieu, stunt expert Austin Porter and newest member tech expert Devin Marble. Together, they review web video claiming to depict paranormal and unexplainable phenomena including ghosts, poltergeist activity, UFOs, strange creature sightings, and unknown energy anomalies. After agreeing on which cases warrant further exploration, they take to the field, employing their expertise in full investigations and recreations to dispel the hoaxes from the real and possibly paranormal.

Coming up on Wednesday, March 30th at 10/9c PM, Bill, Chi-Lan and Austin head to Jacksonville to investigate a video of a ghost sitting in the balcony of the haunted Florida Theater. When a shocking heat signature registers on their thermal cam during the night investigation, the team goes on a wild ghost chase! Meanwhile, when a mysterious triangular formation of lights appears in the skies over both New York and Texas within a few days of each other, Ben, Jael and Devin head to El Paso to see what they can uncover. After launching a series of lights and pyrotechnics into the sky, the team makes an important discovery that may break the case.

Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files is executive produced by John Brenkus and Mickey Stern for BASE Productions, and is a co-production with Universal Networks International.
