CBS #1 for the Week in Viewers, Demos; "Big Brother" Momentum Continues

CBS IS NUMBER ONE FOR THE WEEK IN VIEWERS, ADULTS 18-49, ADULTS 18-34 AND ADULTS 25-54

All Three "Big Brother" Broadcasts Finish Among the Top Five Programs in Key Demos

CBS Has the Top Nine Scripted Programs

CBS won the week in the viewers, adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and adults 18-34 (tie) led by all three editions of BIG BROTHER, rebroadcasts of its dramas and comedies and pre-season football, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for week ending Aug. 28, week 49 of the 2010-2011 television year.

All three BIG BROTHER 13 broadcasts placed among the top five in adults 18-34, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 (including ties).

NCIS, NCIS: LOS ANGELES, NCIS 10PM SPECIAL THE BIG BANG THEORY, CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION, THE MENTALIST, RULES OF ENGAGEMENT, TWO AND A HALF MEN and MIKE & MOLLY were the week's top nine scripted programs.

Overall, CBS had seven of the top 10 programs and 10 of the top 20. CBS had more programs in the top 10 than the other networks combined.

For the week in viewers: CBS (6.36m) beat NBC (5.54m), ABC (4.96m) and FOX (3.05m). Summer-to-date, CBS (6.34m) leads NBC (5.82m), ABC (5.56m) and FOX (4.53m).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was first in adults 18-49 (1.7/05), adults 25-54 (2.1/06) and tied for first in adults 18-34 (1.2/04, with NBC).

For the week in households: CBS (4.0/07) was ahead of NBC (3.4/06), ABC (3.1/05) and FOX (1.8/03). Summer-to-date, CBS (4.1/07) is ahead of NBC (3.6/06), ABC (3.5/06) and FOX (2.7/05).

BIG BROTHER

BIG BROTHER WEDNESDAY was first in households (4.8/08), viewers (7.95m), adults 25-54 (3.5/10), adults 18-49 (2.9/09) and adults 18-34 (2.5/09). BIG BROTHER was the night's #1 program in adults 25-54, adults 18-49 (both tied with "America's Got Talent") and adults 18-34. BIG BROTHER WEDNESDAY won its time slot every week this season.

BIG BROTHER THURSDAY was first in households (4.7/08), viewers (8.15m), adults 25-54 (3.6/09), adults 18-49 (3.1/09) and adults 18-34 (2.5/08). BIG BROTHER THURSDAY posted its best Thursday delivery this season in viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49. BIG BROTHER THURSDAY swept its time slot for the seventh time in eight weeks.

BIG BROTHER SUNDAY was first in adults 25-54 (3.6/09), tied for first in adults 18-49 (3.0/08, with NBC) and second in households (4.6/07), viewers (7.87m) and adults 18-34 (2.2/07).

On Friday, NFL PRE-SEASON FOOTBALL (S) (8:00-11:18PM) "Green Bay Packers @ Indianapolis Colts" scored a 4.1/08 in households with 6.74m viewers and a 3.1/10 in men 25-54, 2.6/09 in men 18-49, 1.8/08 in men 18-34, 2.4/08 in adults 25-54, 2.0/07 in adults 18-49 and 1.4/06 in adults 18-34. NFL PRE-SEASON FOOTBALL was Friday's #1 program in households, viewers, adults 25-54, adults 18-49, men 25-54 and men 18-49.

On Saturday, NFL PRE-SEASON FOOTBALL (S) (8:00-11:12PM) "New England Patriots @ Detroit Lions scored a 3.2/06 in households with 5.60m viewers and a 2.6/07 in men 25-54, 2.2/07 in men 18-49, 1.6/06 in men 18-34, 2.0/06 in adults 25-54, 1.8/06 in adults 18-49 and 1.5/06 in adults 18-34. NFL PRE-SEASON FOOTBALL was Saturday's #1 program in households, viewers, adults 25-54, adults 18-49, adults 18-34, men 25-54, men 18-49 and men 18-34.
