Hallmark Channel's "Lucky Christmas" and "Cancel Christmas" Continues Holiday Streak

The #1 Movie of the Week, "Lucky Christmas" Scores 2.4 HH RTG

The #2 Movie of the Week, "Cancel Christmas" Delivers 2.1 HH RTG

Hallmark Channel's "Countdown to Christmas", featuring more holiday-themed programming than any other network, continues on its streak of ratings successes during its second weekend. Hallmark Channel original movie, "Lucky Christmas", premiered Saturday, November 12th, delivering a 2.4 HH rtg while "Cancel Christmas," scored a 2.1 HH rtg with its Sunday, November 13th world premiere. Combined, the premieres of "Lucky Christmas" and "Cancel Christmas" reached more than 6.5 million unduplicated viewers. "Lucky Christmas" ranked as the number #1 rated ad-supported cable movie of the week while "Cancel Christmas" was rated the number #2 movie of the week. Hallmark Channel placed in the Top 10 for key demo ratings, including #2 in HH rtg (1.8 rtg, in prime time for the weekend, Sat-Sun 8-11p).

"Lucky Christmas", the #1 prime time program on ad-supported cable for Saturday, holds the honor as Hallmark Channel's highest rated telecast of 2011-to-date. In the Saturday 8p-10p time period, "Lucky Christmas" ranked #1 in HH rtg and total viewers (P2+) rtg, as well as #1 in HH Delivery. The film also boosted the network to be the highest-rated cable network for the day among W25-54. Additionally, "Cancel Christmas" was the #1 rated ad-supported cable movie on Sunday lifting Hallmark Channel to the #2 rated cable network in prime time for the day among HH (1.8 HH rtg). The film was also #2 for HH ratings (2.1 rtg) and HH delivery (1,816,000), respectively.

Starring Elizabeth Berkley ("Saved by the Bell") and Jason Gray-Stanford ("Monk"), "Lucky Christmas," tells the tale of Holly Ceroni (Berkley), a single mother who has been destitute when it comes to luck and love. When she learns her million-dollar winning lottery ticket is in her recently stolen car, she is devastated. Will Holly's luck change for the better?

In "Cancel Christmas," the Christmas Board of Directors issue an ultimatum to Santa in order to save Christmas from children who have become too greedy and materialistic. Santa's mission is to teach two seemingly hopeless children the error of their ways or else Christmas will be cancelled. Will Santa be able to pull it off? "Cancel Christmas" stars Golden Globe nominee Judd Nelson ("Billionaire Boys Club"), Justin Landry ("Periods of Rain"), Connor Price ("Dead Zone") and newcomer Sante Scaletta.
