Friday's Broadcast Ratings: "20/20" Leads the Pack for ABC

Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night:

ABC (4.21 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #1) took home top honors on Friday with its mix of "Shark Tank" (4.30 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.0, #4), "Primetime: What Would You Do?" (3.69 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T2) and "20/20" (4.66 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.4, #1).

NBC (4.20 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #2) then claimed the silver with its summer lineup of "Whitney" (2.72 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T7), "Community" (1.87 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.5, #11) and a two-hour "Dateline NBC" (5.15 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T2).

Next up was CBS (5.08 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.8, #3) with repeats of "Undercover Boss" (4.50 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #5), "CSI: NY" (4.84 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T7) and "Blue Bloods" (5.90 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.8, #6).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.03 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #4) offered up its second run combination of "House" (1.74 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.6, #10) and "Bones" (2.33 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T7).

And finally, repeats of "Nikita" (0.99 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T12) and "Supernatural" (0.87 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T12) closed out the evening on The CW (0.93 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5).

In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.9/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.1/5; and ABC's combo of "Nightline," 3.0/7; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.5/4.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.7/3; "Late Show," 0.5/2; "Nightline," 0.9/4; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3.

At 12:35 a.m., "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.6/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.1/3 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2 with an encore).

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

Here are the highlights of the 11 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (6/10/11):

NBC (4.35 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.6, #1) took home the demo crown on Friday with its coverage of the "NHL Stanley Cup Finals, Game 5" (4.35 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.6, #1).

CBS (6.35 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T2) however remained the most-watched network with a new "Flashpoint" (5.90 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T4) followed by repeats of "CSI: NY" (6.53 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #3) and "Blue Bloods" (6.63 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.9, #6).

Next up was ABC (3.89 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T2) with a repeat of "Shark Tank" (3.90 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T4) followed by new episodes of "Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution" (2.59 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T7) and "20/20" (5.17 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.2, #2).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.85 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #4) offered up encores of "Bones" (3.10 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T7) and "Lie to Me" (2.60 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.7, #9) - the latter of which will be replaced by "House" repeats beginning next week.

And finally, repeats of "Smallville" (0.98 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.4, #10) and "Supernatural" (0.94 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.3, #11) on The CW (0.96 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5) rounded out the evening.
