"Thursday Night Football's" Seahawks-49ers Most Watched Show on Cable & Most Watched Sporting Event on Television

"THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL'S" SEAHAWKS-49ERS MOST WATCHED SHOW ON CABLE & MOST WATCHED SPORTING EVENT ON TELEVISION

NFL Network's Thursday Night Football broadcast of the Seahawks-49ers game was watched by an average of 7 million viewers (not including over-the-air stations in Seattle and San Francisco) making it the most-watched program overall on cable TV for Thursday, Oct. 18.

Additionally, the Seahawks-49ers game topped all sporting events last night, including Game 4 of the Cardinals-Giants MLB NL Championship Series (6.0 million viewers on FOX).

Through six games of its expanded 13-game schedule, Thursday Night Football is averaging a 4.6 US HH rating (+28% vs. 2011 average) and 7.1 million viewers (+15% vs. 2011 average) - on pace to be the highest-rated and most-watched Thursday Night Football season ever.

On the interactive front, coverage and features around the Seahawks/49ers game across NFL Digital Media platforms - NFL.com/LIVE, NFL Mobile from Verizon, and the NFL 12 tablet app - delivered 445k unique viewers and one million video streams.

Thursday Night Football continues next week with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers visiting Minnesota Vikings on Oct. 25 at 8:00 PM ET.
