Of 18 Syndicated Talk Shows This Season, "Katie" Places in the Top-Tier And Qualifies as the Strongest New Syndie Talker on the Market in 3 Years

"Katie" National Ratings - Week 18

Based on National ratings for the week of January 7, 2013, "Katie" qualified as the No. 1 new syndicated talk show for the 18th consecutive week, outpacing its nearest competition, "Steve Harvey," by double-digit margins in Households (+25% - 2.0 rating vs. 1.6 rating) and Total Viewers (+31% - 2.697 million vs. 2.064 million).

· Gaining for the 2nd week in Households (+5% - 2.0 rating vs. 1.9 rating), "Katie" turned in its 2nd-highest-rated week ever. In addition, the show drew its 2nd-biggest overall audience yet and equaled its top-rated week with Women 18-34.

· Ranked among all 18 syndicated talk shows on the market this season, freshman "Katie" sits among the top-tier across all key measures: Households (No. 6 - 1.9 rating), Total Viewers (No. 6 - 2.488 million) and Women 25-54 (No. 6 - 1.0 rating). Overall, "Katie" is TV's top freshman syndicated talk show in 3 years - since "Dr. Oz" in 2009.

"Katie" is executive-produced by Katie Couric and Michael Morrison and is distributed by Disney-ABC Domestic Television. Co-executive producers are Kathy Samuels and Michael Bass and the program is directed by Joseph Terry.
