Monday's Broadcast Ratings: "The Bachelorette" Goes Out on Top for ABC

Here are the highlights of the 16 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night:

ABC (8.672 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.6, #1) pulled in front on Monday thanks to the two-hour season finale of "The Bachelorette" (8.841 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.6, #1) plus the reunion special "The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose" (8.334 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.5, #T2).

CBS (6.267 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.6, #2) then claimed the silver with its mix of "How I Met Your Mother" (3.864 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.1, #8), "2 Broke Girls" (3.908 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.0, #9), another "2 Broke Girls" (4.604 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T5), "Mike & Molly" (4.824 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T5) and a new "Under the Dome" (10.200 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.5, #T2) - a series low.

Next up was NBC (3.539 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #3) with originals from "American Ninja Warrior" (4.873 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.4, #4), "Get Out Alive with Bear Grylls" (3.804 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T5) and "Siberia" (1.941 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T11).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.754 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #4) offered up repeats of "Raising Hope" (2.099 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.8, #10), another "Raising Hope" (1.669 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T11), "New Girl" (1.610 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T11) and "The Mindy Project" (1.636 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T11).

And finally, a repeat "Hart of Dixie" (0.712 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.2, #15) and a new "Breaking Pointe" (0.415 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.1, #16) closed out the evening for The CW (0.564 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5). In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), "Dixie" delivered a 0.2 rating while "Pointe" posted a 0.2 rating.

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.3/6; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.0/5 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.1/5.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.7/3; "Late Show," 0.6/3 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/4.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.1/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.0/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/2 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 12 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (8/6/12):

NBC (25.99 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 8.1, #1) was still the network to beat on Monday with its primetime coverage of the "2012 Summer Olympics" (25.99 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 8.1, #1).

FOX (2.71 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.1, #2) then topped the audience leftovers with repeats of "Hell's Kitchen" (2.77 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T3) and another "Hell's Kitchen" (2.65 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T3).

Next up was CBS (3.62 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #3) and its repeat mix of "How I Met Your Mother" (3.31 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T6), "2 Broke Girls" (3.60 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T6), another "2 Broke Girls" (3.87 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #2), "Mike & Molly" (3.83 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T3) and "Hawaii Five-0" (3.56 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.8, #9).

Meanwhile, ABC (2.80 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #4) offered up originals from "Bachelor Pad" (3.38 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T6) and "The Glass House" (1.64 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.6, #10).

And finally, encores of "Perez Hilton All Access: Katy Perry" (0.67 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.3, #11) and "Remodeled" (0.47 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.2, #12) on The CW (0.57 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5) closed out the nighit. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), "Katy Perry" delivered a 0.3 rating while "Remodeled" posted a 0.3 rating.
