UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - Nov. 26, 2013 - NBC has finished #1 in adults 18-49 for the primetime week of Nov. 18-24, with "Sunday Night Football" ranking #1 among primetime telecasts on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in every key ratings measure. According to "live plus same day" viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research for the week, NBC averaged a 2.6 rating, 7 share in adults 18-49 and 8.4 million viewers overall.

NBC has now finished #1 or tied for #1 during eight of nine weeks this season, finishing #2 only once during a week in which Fox carried World Series coverage on four of seven nights.

For the Nov. 18-24 week, which featured competition from ABC's "American Music Awards," "Sunday Night Football" ranked #1 for the week among Big 4 primetime programs in adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54.

In adults 18-49, in addition to "SNF's" #1 ranking, Monday's "The Voice" finished #3 among Big 4 primetime telecasts and Tuesday's "Voice" was #6. Rankings exclude sports pre- and post-game shows.

Through nine weeks of the new season, NBC ranks #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 and is also #1 in every other key demo - adults, men and women 18-34; men and women 18-49; and adults, men and women 25-54, including a tie with CBS in women 25-54.

NBC leads the season by 0.5 of a rating point (with a 3.2 vs. second-place CBS's 2.7), the biggest margin for any network nine weeks into the season in 11 years (since NBC led by 0.9 of a point in 2002).

In total viewers, NBC ranks #2 for the season, its highest total-viewer ranking nine weeks into a season in nine years (since 2004).

NBC's season average of 9.7 million viewers is its biggest overall audience nine weeks into the season in seven years (since 2006, 10.3 million). Versus one year ago, NBC is up 9% season to date in total viewers (9.7 million vs. 8.9 million).

Primetime averages for the week of Nov. 18-24 in adults 18-49 are: NBC, 2.6/7; ABC, 2.3/7; Fox, 2.0/6; CBS, 1.9/5; and CW, 0.6/2. In overall total viewers, the weekly averages were: CBS, 9.8 million; ABC, 8.5 million; NBC, 8.4 million; Fox, 5.9 million; and CW, 1.5 million.

Season-to-date averages are: NBC, 3.2/9; CBS, 2.7/8; ABC, 2.5/7; Fox, 2.5/7; and CW, 0.9/3. In overall total viewers, the season averages are: CBS, 12.0 million; NBC, 9.7 million; ABC, 8.8 million; Fox, 7.4 million; and CW, 2.1 million.

NBC highlights for the week of Nov. 18-24:

Monday: NBC finished #1 Monday night in adults 18-49 among the Big 4 with the #1 show of the night on those nets, "The Voice."

An encore recap of "The Voice" (2.3/6 in adults 18-49, 7.7 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) tied for #2 among the Big 4 against original competition in the time period, matching Fox's regular-slot debut of "Almost Human." The 8 p.m. "Voice" recap also tied "Almost Human" in adults 18-34 (1.7 each) and out-rated it in adults 25-54 (2.9 vs. 2.8), as well as in all key adult-female demos.

From 9-11 p.m. ET, "The Voice" (3.5 rating, 9 share in adults 18-49, 10.8 million viewers overall) was the #1 telecast of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49 and other key categories and ranked #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 and all other key demographics. "The Voice" matched the comparable third live Monday telecast of the prior cycle in 18-49 rating (3.5 vs. 3.5) and was up in total viewers (10.838 million vs. 10.814 million). "The Voice" won the 9-10 p.m. hour among the Big 4 by a 48% margin in adults 18-49 (with a 3.7 rating vs. a 2.5 for Fox's "Sleepy Hollow") and took the 10 p.m. hour among ABC, CBS and NBC by a 74% margin (3.3 vs. 1.9 for ABC's "Castle").

Tuesday: "The Biggest Loser" (1.9/6 in 18-49, 6.5 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m.) rose week to week by 6% in 18-49 (to a 1.9 rating from a 1.8) and 4% in total viewers (6.5 million vs. 6.3 million). "Biggest Loser" grew from half-hour to half-hour by 18% in adults 18-49 (to a 2.0 rating from a 1.7) and 24% in adults 25-54 (2.6 vs. 2.1). In women 18-34, "The Biggest Loser" won the time slot among the Big 4 (with a 2.1 rating) and was #2 in women 18-49 (2.6).

"The Voice" (3.2/9 in 18-49, 11.7 million viewers overall from 9-10:01 p.m. ET) ranked as the #1 show of the night in adults 18-49 and other key measures and led the hour among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, adults 18-34, adults 25-54 and other key demos. Versus the top-10 results show from last spring, "The Voice" equaled the spring rating in 18-49 (3.2 from 9-10:01 p.m. on May 21) and was up 14% in total viewers (11.653 million vs. 10.181 million)..

"Chicago Fire" (1.9/5 in 18-49, 7.5 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) was up 36% versus its 1.4 during the same week last year when it ran at 10 p.m. on Wednesdays, and was up in total viewers by 35% (7.5 million vs. 5.5 million on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012).

Wednesday: "Revolution" (1.4/4 in 18-49, 5.4 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) hit a five-week high in total viewers (5.372 million, best since Oct. 16 with 5.417 million), with a week-to-week gain of 4% (5.4 million vs. last week's 5.2 million). L+7: The Oct. 30 "Revolution" grew by 71% or 0.97 of a point in 18-49 going from L+SD to L+7 (to 2.33 from 1.36).

"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.6/4 in 18-49, 6.0 million viewers overall from 9-10:01 p.m.ET) matched its highest 18-49 rating in five weeks, since Oct. 16.

From 10:01-11 p.m. ET, a Wednesday "Dateline NBC" (1.1/3 in 18-49, 4.7 million viewers overall) matched its prior two 18-49 ratings this season in this time period and had its highest Wednesday rating so far this season in the key news demo of adults 25-54 (1.6). "Dateline" has generated this 25-54 track in its three Wednesday telecasts to date: 1.4, 1.5, 1.6. It's NBC's highest 25-54 rating in the time period since Oct. 9.

Thursday: "Parks and Recreation" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 2.8 million viewers overall from 8-9:01 p.m. ET) ranked #2 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in men 18-34, men 18-49 and men 25-54. L+3: The prior telecast of "Parks and Recreation" added 33% or 0.38 of a point to its next-day "live plus same day" 18-49 rating (to a 1.52 in L+3 from a 1.14 in L+SD and 22% or 665,000 persons in total viewers (3.695 million vs. 3.030 million). Upscale: "Parks and Recreation" is the most upscale primetime series on the Big 4 networks in its concentration of adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes, indexing in that category at a 171 (with 100 representing an average concentration of those homes).

"Sean Saves the World" (0.9/2 in 18-49, 3.0 million viewers overall from 9:01-9:30 p.m. ET) maintained its 18-49 rating from the prior week and was up 13% in total viewers (2.989 million vs. 2.641 million). L+3: The prior week's "Sean Saves the World" added 32% or 0.28 of a rating point to its next-day L+SD 18-49 rating (to a 1.16 from a 0.88) and 27% or 722,000 persons in total viewers (3.363 million vs. 2.641 million). L+7: The Oct. 31 "Sean" increased in rating by 27% or 0.29 of a point in 18-49 going from L+SD to L+7 (to 1.38 from 1.09).

"The Michael J. Fox Show" (0.9/2 in 18-49, 2.9 million viewers at 9:30) maintained 100% of its 18-49 lead-in and 100% of the prior week's rating, while growing week to week in total viewers by 14% (2.892 million vs. 2.526 million). L+3: Last week's "Michael J. Fox Show" added 36% or 0.32 of a rating point to its next-day L+SD 18-49 rating (to a 1.21 from a 0.89) and 30% or 761,000 persons in total viewers (3.287 vs. 2.526 million). L+7: The Oct. 31 "Michael J. Fox" grew by 41% or 0.43 of a point in 18-49 going from L+SD to L+7 (to 1.48 from 1.05).

"Parenthood" (1.2/3 in 18-49, 3.7 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m.) matched the prior week's 18-49 rating and built on this week's lead-in by 33% in 18-49 rating and 26% in total viewers. Despite the 10 p.m. hour, this week's "Parenthood" maintained its rating from half-hour to half-hour in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 and grew in total viewers, women 18-34 and women 18-49.

L+3: The prior week's "Parenthood" added 70% or 0.85 of a rating point to its next-day L+SD 18-49 rating (to a 2.06 from a 1.21) and 53% or 1.987 million persons in total viewers (5.760 million vs. 3.773 million). L+7: The Oct. 31 "Parenthood" grew by 95% or 1.15 of a point in 18-49 going from L+SD to L+7 (to 2.36 from 1.21).

Friday: "Dateline NBC" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 5.5 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) matched its highest Friday 18-49 rating since Oct. 25. From its first half-hour to its second, "Dateline" grew in every key ratings category, including gains of 20% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.2 rating from a 1.0) and 14% in adults 25-54 (1.6 vs. 1.4).

The NBC News Special "Where Were You: The Day JFK Died, Reported by Tom Brokaw" averaged a 1.0/3 in 18-49 and 5.8 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET, generating NBC's top total-viewer result in the time period since Sept.27 (6.5 million for "Dateline NBC").

Saturday: A rebroadcast of "Saturday Night Live," with host and musical guest Lady Gaga (0.8/3 in 18-49, 2.7 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET), equaled the show's season high in this time period in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 (1.0 rating) and delivered the biggest overall audience for an "SNL" encore in this hour so far this season.

Sunday: "Sunday Night Football" (9.8/25 in 18-49, 26.5 million viewers overall from 8:34-12:26 p.m. ET), featuring the Denver Broncos at the New England Patriots, ranked #1 for the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in every key ratings category, despite competition from ABC's "American Music Awards," leading NBC to the nightlong win in 18-49, total viewers and all other key measures. The Broncos-Patriots game doubled the "American Music Awards" in 18-49 and total viewers.

The Broncos-Patriots game generated the highest NFL Week 12 primetime delivery in 18-49 and total viewers in 17 years (Green Bay-Dallas on ABC Monday, Nov. 18, 1996, 13.8 in 18-49, 31.5 million viewers overall). For a primetime regular-season game featuring the Patriots, the 26.5 million is a record in people meter history going back to 1987.

Twelve weeks into the NFL season, "Sunday Night Football" is delivering the strongest "live plus same day" 18-49 average for a primetime NFL series (8.6, L+SD) at this point in the season in 16 years (since ABC's Monday coverage in 1997, 9.0) and in total viewers (22.5 million, L+SD) in 17 years (since ABC's Monday coverage in 1996, 23.7 million).
