During the week of December 30, 2013, ABC delivered 7 of the Top 20 non-sports programs in Adults 18-49: "New Year's Rockin' Eve '14" - No. 3, "NYRE Presents the 30 Greatest Women in Music" - No. 10, "Revenge" and "The Bachelor: Countdown to Juan Pablo" tied at No. 13, "America's Funniest Home Videos" - No. 17, while "20/20" and "Modern Family" tied at No. 20. The weekly averages were once again inflated by high-rated NFL coverage, including Fox's monster San Francisco-Green Bay playoff primetime overrun on Sunday and NBC's special Sunday Night Football playoff game on Saturday. In fact, excluding sports, ABC led for the 2nd week in a row with Adults 18-49 (1.3/4), outdelivering CBS (1.2/3), NBC (1.2/4) and Fox (1.0/3).

· ABC grew by double-digits week to week in Total Viewers (+21% - 5.1 million vs. 4.2 million) and Adults 18-49 (+18% - 1.3/4 vs. 1.1/3) to 3-week highs - since w/o 12/9/13.

Monday

Featuring encores of "Happy New Year, Charlie Brown," "Rudolph's Shiny New Year" and "Castle," ABC stood as the No. 2 most-watched network on Monday (3.8 million).

Tuesday

With its New Year's Eve line-up, ABC finished a dominant No. 1 on the evening, leading its nearest competition by 44% in Total Viewers (9.1 million vs. 6.3 million - CBS) and by 53% in Adults 18-49 (2.6/9 vs. 1.7/6 - NBC).

"New Year's Rockin' Eve Presents The 30 Greatest Women in Music" (8:00-10:00 p.m. - 7.5 million and 2.0/7 in AD18-49): From 8:00-10:00 p.m., "New Year's Rockin' Eve Presents The 30 Greatest Women in Music" beat out NBC's "Toast to 2013" (6.1 million and 1.6/6) head-to-head in the 2-hour slot by 23% in Total Viewers and by 25% in Adults 18-49.

"Dick Clark's Primetime New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2014" (10:00-11:00 p.m. - 12.2 million and 3.8/13 in AD18-49): Spiking over its lead-in at 10:00 p.m., ABC's broadcast of "Dick Clark's Primetime New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2014" overshadowed the final hour of the night and ranked as the No. 1 TV program in prime with Total Viewers and across each of the key Adult demos (AD18-34/AD18-49/AD25-54). In fact, during the final hour of prime, "Dick Clark's Primetime New Year's Rockin' Eve" topped CBS and NBC combined by 2.0 million Total Viewers (12.2 million vs. 10.2 million) and by 65% in Adults 18-49 (3.8/13 vs. 2.3/8).

· Head-to-head from 10:00-11:00 p.m., ABC's "Dick Clark's Primetime New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest" towered over NBC's "New Year's Eve with Carson Daly" (5.7 million and 1.8/6) by 6.5 million viewers and by 111% in Adults 18-49.

· The program posted ABC's highest entertainment Adult 18-49 rating in the hour in more than 2 years - since 11/22/11.

· "Dick Clark's Primetime New Year's Rockin' Eve" attracted its 3rd-largest-ever audience, behind only the last two record-setting telecasts in 2012 and 2011 - the special premiered on the Net in 2000. The annual show was up by 5.2 million viewers and by 41% in Adults 18-49 from the last time New Year's Eve fell on a Tuesday (7.0 million and 2.7/10 on 12/31/02).

Wednesday

With an all encore line-up, ABC ranked as the No. 2 major network on New Year's night in Total Viewers (4.0 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.0/3).

· ABC's "Modern Family" was the No. 1 entertainment program of the night in Adults 18-49 (1.5/4).

· From 8:00-10:00 p.m., ABC's repeat comedy block ("The Middle"/"The Goldbergs-SP"/"Modern Family"/"Super Fun Night") dominated Fox's encore comedies ("Dads"/"Dads"/"Brooklyn Nine-Nine"/"Brooklyn Nine-Nine") head-to-head in the 2-hour slot by 3.1 million Total Viewers (4.8 million vs. 1.7 million) and by 117% in Adults 18-49 (1.3/3 vs. 0.6/2).

· The replay telecasts of "The Middle" at 8:00 p.m. (1.2/3), "The Goldbergs-SP" at 8:30 p.m. (1.2/3) and "Modern Family" at 9:00 p.m. (1.5/4) each stood as the No. 1 entertainment program in their respective half-hours among Adults 18-49.

Thursday

Featuring the season premiere of "The Taste" and the first part of "The Assets" mini-series (ABC's new 8-week Thursday line-up until the mid-season return of its dramas in February), the Net took second place among the major nets on Thursday, outdrawing NBC's premiere line-up by 29% in Total Viewers (4.4 million vs. 3.4 million) and tying in Adults 18-49 (1.1/3).

"The Taste" (8:00-10:00 p.m. - 4.7 million and 1.3/3 in AD18-49):

Taking second place on the major nets from 8:00-10:00 p.m. to CBS, ABC's season 2 premiere of "The Taste" (4.7 million and 1.3/3) beat out NBC's 2-hour comedy premiere block by strong margins ("Community"/"Sean Saves the World"/"Michael J. Fox Show" = 3.1 million and 1.1/3), leading by 52% in Total Viewers and 18% in Adults 18-49. The ABC unscripted series built 8% in Adults 18-49 from its first hour to its second hour.

· "The Taste" was up over its season 1 finale by 34% in Total Viewers and 8% in Adults 18-49 (3.5 million and 1.2/3 on 3/12/13), outdrawing the final 3 telecasts of its first season - best since 2/19/13. Please note: "The Taste" debuted last year in late-January with higher overall viewing levels on Tuesday night against repeat competition on CBS.

"The Assets" (10:00-11:00 p.m. - 3.8 million and 0.7/2 in AD18-49):

Part 1 of an 8-part mini-series, ABC's "The Assets" nearly tied NBC's time-period established "Parenthood" in the 10:00 p.m. hour, pacing within just 200,000 Viewers (3.8 million vs. 4.0 million).

Friday

With repeats from 8:00-10:00 p.m. ("Last Man Standing"/"Last Man Standing"/"Shark Tank") and "20/20" at 10:00 p.m. against Fox's Cotton Bowl coverage on Friday, ABC tied NBC's all original line-up in Adults 18-49 for the non-sports lead (1.3/4). ABC's "20/20" was the No. 1 series of the night in Adults 18-49 (1.5/4 - tie).

"Shark Tank" (9:00-10:01 p.m. - 5.4 million and 1.4/4 in AD18-49):

At 9:00 p.m., "Shark Tank" posted a season-high repeat performance in Adults 18-49. ABC's encore "Shark Tank" virtually tied NBC's first-run "Grimm" as the No. 1 series in the hour among Adults 18-49 (pacing within 1-tenth of a rating point and tied in audience share - 1.4/4 vs. 1.5/4).

"20/20" (10:01-11:00 p.m. - 6.1 million and 1.5/4 in AD18-49):

ABC's "20/20" finished as the No. 1 regular show in the 10 o'clock hour in the key Adults 25-54 news demo, outdelivering NBC's "Dracula" by 82% (2.0/5 vs. 1.1/3). In addition, the ABC newsmagazine dominated the NBC drama by 110% in Total Viewers (6.1 million vs. 2.9 million) and by 67% in Adults 18-49 (1.5/4 vs. 0.9/3). "20/20" reported on people involved in elaborate lies.

· "20/20" was up week to week in Total Viewers (+11%), Adults 18-49 (+36%) and Adults 25-54 (+25%), hitting 6-week highs on all three measures - since 11/22/13.

Sunday

"America's Funniest Home Videos" (7:00-8:00 p.m. - 6.8 million and 1.6/4 in AD18-49):

In the 7 o'clock hour, opposite Fox's huge San Francisco-Green Bay NFL playoffs overrun, ABC's "America's Funniest Home Videos" (1.6/4) was the No. 1 non-sports program in its hour in Adults 18-49, beating CBS' "60 Minutes" (1.3/3) and NBC's "Dateline" (1.0/2).

· "AFHV" was up 14% from its last original to deliver a new season-high in Adults 18-49 and surged 33% in Adults 18-34 to its best number in nearly 1 year - since 2/10/13.

"The Bachelor: Countdown to Juan Pablo" (8:00-9:00 p.m. - 6.4 million and 1.8/4 in AD18-49):

At 8:00 p.m., ABC's lead-up special to tonight's season premiere, "The Bachelor: Countdown to Juan Pablo" (1.8/4) built on its Adult 18-49 lead-in by 13% to earn second among the broadcasters in its hour to Fox's NFL-fueled animated comedies. ABC's "The Bachelor" special was Sunday's most social non-sports program with 152,848 tweets.

"Revenge" (9:00-10:01 p.m. - 6.8 million and 1.8/4 in AD18-49):

During the 9 o'clock hour, ABC's "Revenge" returned up from its last telecast by 10% in viewers and by 20% in Adults 18-49 to post 13-week highs on both measures - since 10/6/13. In addition, the ABC drama equaled a best-since-premiere number in Adults 18-34 (1.4/4).
