STAMFORD, Conn. - February 23, 2014 - Finland's 5-0 victory over Team USA in Saturday's Olympic men's hockey bronze medal game (10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. ET/7 a.m-9:30 a.m. PT) averaged 2.5 million viewers with a 1.6 rating/5 share on NBCSN, leading the network to its 15th consecutive daytime viewership edge over the 2012 London Games, according to live plus same day fast national data released today by The Nielsen Company.

With the Team USA-Finland game anchoring its live coverage, NBCSN averaged 2.2 million viewers from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. ET - topping by 1 million the viewership for the comparable Saturday of the 2012 London Games (1.2 million). Viewership for the United States-Finland game peaked at 3.0 million from 11:30 a.m.-Noon ET.

Through 15 days of Sochi Winter Games coverage, NBCSN is averaging 1.6 million viewers for the 6 a.m.-3 p.m. ET time period - a 127% increase over the network's comparable daytime coverage of the 2012 London Games (716,000 viewers).

· Last night's primetime Olympics on NBC (8:30-11 p.m. ET) averaged 13.3 million viewers - more than doubling the combined primetime total of ABC, CBS and FOX (6.5 million viewers) - and a 7.8 household rating/14 share. In addition, last night's telecast averaged a 2.8 in the Adult 18-49 demo, nearly doubling the combined total of the other networks (1.5). The comparable Saturday for the 2006 Torino Games averaged 16.5 million viewers and a 9.7 rating/17 share. The comparable Saturday for the live 2010 Vancouver Games averaged 20.6 million viewers and an 11.7 rating/21 share.
