UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - April 8, 2014 - With "The Voice" and "The Blacklist" generating three of the week's top 10 ratings among primetime programs on the Big 4 networks, NBC has averaged a 1.5 rating, 4 share in adults 18-49 and 5.7 million viewers overall for the week of March 31-April 6, according to "live plus same day" viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.

The Monday edition of "The Voice" ranked #3 among the week's primetime programs on the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49, while Tuesday's "Voice" finished #6 and Monday's "The Blacklist" tied for #8. The Monday "Voice" was #1 among Big 4 primetime programs last week in teens 12-17 and both "Voice" editions were among five shows tying for # 1 among kids 2-11.

Through the season's 28th week, NBC has won 77 nights in adults 18-49 among the Big 4 networks, more NBC nightlong wins than for any full September-to-May season since 2003-04 (83 wins).

Through 28 weeks of the season, NBC ranks #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and all key adult-female demos. It's the first time NBC has ranked #1 in 18-49 this late in the season in 10 years (since the 2003-04 season).

NBC's 2.9 rating in adults 18-49 is the network's top average at this point in the season in five years (since a 2.9 in 2008-09).

Versus one year ago, NBC is up 21% season to date in adults 18-49 (2.9 vs. 2.4).

In total viewers, NBC ranks #2 for the season with an average of 9.8 million viewers, which is its biggest overall audience 28 weeks into the season in eight years (since 2005-06, 9.9 million). Versus one year ago, NBC is up 39% season to date in total viewers (9.8 million vs. 7.1 million).

Primetime averages for the week of March 31-April 6 in adults 18-49 are: CBS, 2.1/6; ABC, 1.6/5; NBC, 1.5/4; Fox, 1.2/4; and CW, 0.4/1. In overall total viewers, the weekly averages were: CBS, 10.1 million; ABC, 6.4 million; NBC, 5.7 million; Fox, 4.0 million; and CW, 1.2 million.

Season-to-date averages are: NBC, 2.9/9; Fox, 2.6/8; CBS, 2.4/7; ABC, 2.1/6; and CW, 0.8/2. In overall total viewers, the season averages are: CBS, 10.8 million; NBC, 9.8 million; Fox, 7.7 million; ABC, 7.5 million; and CW, 1.9 million.

NBC highlights for the week of March 31-April 6:

Monday: NBC won Monday among the Big 4 nets in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, total viewers and other key measures, despite CBS's highly rated finale of "How I Met Your Mother.".

"The Voice" (3.4 rating, 10 share in adults 18-49, 12.3 million viewers overall from 8-10:01 p.m. ET,) grew significantly throughout its two hours, with this track: 3.0, 3.4, 3.5, 3.8. From its first half-hour to its fourth, "The Voice" increased by 0.8 of a point or 27% in 18-49 and by 17% or 1.8 million persons in total viewers (to 13.0 million from 11.2 million). For its second hour from 9-10 p.m., "The Voice" won among the Big 4 in 18-49 by a 48% margin (with a 3.7 rating vs. an average 2.5 for CBS's second-place hour of comedy, including the debut of "Friends With Better Lives").

"The Blacklist" (2.8/8 in adults 18-49, 11.4 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) matched the show's highest 18-49 rating since Feb. 24 and delivered the show's biggest overall audience since Dec. 2. "The Blacklist" is a dominant #1 in the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in every key ratings measure, and, with ABC's "Castle" in rebroadcast, "Blacklist" topped the ABC-CBS drama competition combined in every key demographic. Versus NBC's averages in the time period last season, "The Blacklist" was up 40% in 18-49 (2.8 vs. 2.0, L+SD, non-sports) and up 98% in total viewers (11.4 million vs. 5.7 million).

L+7 Time-Shifting: The March 17 "Blacklist" grew by 70% in adult 18-49 rating in "live plus seven day" Nielsens (to a 4.56 rating from a 2.69) and by 5.9 million viewers overall (16.9 million vs. 11.0 million).

Tuesday: "The Voice 6" (3.1/10 in 18-49, 11.9 million viewers overall from 8-9:01 p.m. ET) ranked as the #1 show of the night in adults 18-49 and was #1 in its time period among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 and other key measures. "The Voice" jumped substantially from half-hour to half-hour in all key measures, including gains of +26% in adults 18-49 (to a 3.4 rating from a 2.7), +24% in adults 25-54 (4.6 vs. 3.7) and +30% in adults 18-34 (2.6 vs. 2.0).

"About a Boy" (2.0/6 in 18-49, 7.2 million viewers overall from 9:01-9:31 p.m. ET) equaled the prior week's 18-49 rating and has been impressively consistent early in its run, having remained in the 2.0-2.1 range now for the last four weeks in a row. In the time period, "About a Boy" ranked #2 among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and #1 in women 18-49 and women 18-34.

"Growing Up Fisher" (1.6/5 in 18-49, 6.0 million viewers overall from 9:31-10 p.m. ET) has also remained consistent early in its run, having stayed in the 1.6-1.8 range in 18-49 for the last four weeks in a row. In the time period, "Fisher" ranked #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, ahead of the comedy competition on ABC and Fox in all key measures, and was tied for #1 in adults 18-34 and #1 outright among those networks in women 18-34.

An encore telecast of "Chicago Fire" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 4.2 million viewers overall) reported the biggest overall audience for a "Chicago Fire" rebroadcast to date.

Wednesday: All three NBC Wednesday dramas grew in 18-49 rating versus their prior originals of two weeks earlier, "Chicago P.D." by +14%, "SVU" by +13% and "Revolution" by +8%.

"Revolution" (1.3/4 in adults 18-49, 4.4 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) equaled its highest rating since Jan. 22 and grew by 0.1 of a point versus the 1.2 for its prior original on March 19. In total viewers, "Revolution" was up versus the previous first-run by 3% (4.402 million vs. 4.257 million). L+7 Time-Shifting: The March 19 "Revolution" grew by 65% in adult 18-49 rating in "live plus seven day" Nielsens (to a 2.00 rating from a 1.21).

"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.7/5 in adults 18-49, 5.9 million viewers overall from 9-10:01 p.m. ET) captured its highest rating since Feb. 26, improving by 0.2 of a rating point on the 1.5 for its previous first-run on March 19. Versus this week's lead-in, "SVU" was up +31% in 18-49 rating and +34% in total viewers. "SVU" grew from half-hour to half-hour in every key measure, including gains of +13% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.8 rating from a 1.6), +16% in adults 25-54 (2.2 vs. 1.9) and +17% in women 25-54 (2.8 vs. 2.4). L+7 Time-Shifting: The March 19 "Laws & Order: SVU" increased in 18-49 by 71% in L+7 (2.63 vs. 1.54).

"Chicago P.D." (1.6/5 in 18-49, 5.7 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) equaled its highest rating since Feb. 26 and improved by 0.2 of a rating point on the 1.4 of its prior original on March 19. This week's "Chicago P.D." retained 94% of its 18-49 lead-in from "SVU" and 98% of its total-viewer lead-in. L+7 Time-Shifting: The March 19 "Chicago P.D." grew in 18-49 rating by 66% in L+7 (2.34 vs. 1.41).

Thursday: "Community" averaged a 0.9/3 and 2.5 million viewers overall from 8-8:30 p.m. ET). L+7 Time-Shifting: The March 20 "Community" grew in 18-49 rating by 49% in L+7 (1.58 vs. 1.06).

"Parks and Recreation" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 2.7 million viewers overall from 8:30-9:01 p.m. ET) built on its lead-in in all key measures, including a gain of +22% in adults 18-49. In the time period, "Parks" is #2 among the Big 4 in men 18-34 (with a 1.0 rating). L+7 Time-Shifting: The March 20 "Parks and Recreation" grew in 18-49 rating by 40% in L+7 (1.67 vs. 1.19).

"Hollywood Game Night" (1.1/3 in 18-49, 3.1 million viewers overall) equaled its highest 18-49 rating since Feb. 27. This week's "Hollywood Game Night" grew from half-hour to half-hour in nearly all key measures, including gains of +20% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.2 rating from a 1.0), +25% in adults 25-54 (1.5 vs. 1.2), +27% in women +25-54(1.9 vs. 1.5) and +26% in total viewers (3.5 million vs. 2.8 million).

"Parenthood" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 3.8 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) grew or held steady from half-hour to half-hour in all key measures, despite the 10 p.m. hour, with gains of +8% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.3 rating from a 1.2) and +7% in adults 25-54 (1.6 vs. 1.5). "Parenthood" was the only 10 p.m. drama Thursday night on ABC, CBS or NBC to grow from its first half-hour to its second in either measure. In the time period, "Parenthood" ranked #2 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults, men and women 18-34 and tied for #2 in women 18-49. L+7 Time-Shifting: The March 20 "Parenthood" grew in 18-49 rating by 72% in L+7 (to a 2.17 from a 1.26).

Friday: "Dateline NBC" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 6.1 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) tied for #1 among the Big 4 nets in the time period in adults 18-49. "Dateline" grew from its first half-hour to its second by +9% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.2 rating from a 1.1), +13% in adults 25-54 (1.7 vs. 1.5) and +11% in women 25-54 (2.1 vs. 1.9).

"Grimm" (1.4/5 in 18-49, 4.9 million viewers overall from 9-10:01 p.m. ET) tied for #2 in the time period among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and adults 18-34. L+7 Time-Shifting: The March 21 "Grimm" grew in 18-49 rating by 70% in L+7 (2.64 vs. 1.55).

"Hannibal" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 2.2 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) maintained its rating from half-hour to half-hour in adults, men and women 18-49 and adults, men and women 18-34, despite the 10 p.m. hour. L+7 Time-Shifting: The March 21 "Hannibal" grew in 18-49 rating by 62% in L+7 (1.41 vs. 0.87).

Saturday: NBC finished #1 among the Big 4 networks Saturday night in adults 18-49, total viewers and virtually all other key measures.

"Dateline Saturday Night Mystery" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 5.0 million viewers overall) was the #1 telecast of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 and total viewers. Week to week, "Dateline Saturday Night Mystery" was up +13% in adults 18-49 (to a 0.9 rating from a 0.8) and up +4% in total viewers (5.0 million vs. 4.8 million). From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Dateline Saturday Night Mystery" grew by +83% in 18-49 rating (to a 1.1 rating from a 0.6) and +55% or 2.1 million persons in total viewers (5.8 million vs. 3.7 million). "Dateline Saturday Night Mystery" matched NBC's highest adult 18-49 rating in the slot, excluding sports in a year and a half (since Sept. 15, 2012). "Dateline Saturday Night Mystery" matched its season high in adults 18-49 (0.9 rating) among five telecasts to date. In its five weeks on the schedule, "Dateline Saturday Night Mystery" has generated NBC's five top total-viewer results in the time period, excluding sports, in more than two years (since Jan. 21, 2012).

A rebroadcast of "Saturday Night Live" (0.7/2 in 18-49, 2.4 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET), with host Lena Dunham and musical guest The National, matched the prior week's rating in adults 18-49 to rank #2 in the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in that key demo, as well as finishing #1 or tied for #1 in all key adult-male demos.

Sunday: The NBC News Special "Ann Curry Reports: Our Year of Extremes - Did Climate Change Just Hit Home?" (0.6/2 in 18-49, 4.1 million viewers overall from 7-8 p.m. ET) reported a three-week high in the slot for NBC in total viewers.

"American Dream Builders" (0.7/2 in 18-49, 2.9 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) grew from half-hour to half-hour by 17% or 0.1 of a point in adults 18-49 (to a 0.7 rating from a 0.6) and held steady or increased from half-hour to half-hour in all key measures

Facing special competition from CBS's ACM Awards, "Believe" (1.0/2 in 18-49, 4.2 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) retained 91% of the prior week's 1.1 rating in adults 18-49 and built on this week's lead-in by 43% in adults 18-49 and 45% in total viewers in a highly competitive time period that also included ABC's "Resurrection," Fox's "Cosmos" and HBO's season premiere of "Game of Thrones." L+7 Time-Shifting: The March 23 "Believe" grew in L+7 by 81% or 0.97 of a rating point in 18-49 (to a 2.17 from a 1.20).

"Crisis" (1.0/2 in 18-49, 4.5 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) retained 91% of its week-ago 1.1 rating in 18-49 and was up 3% week to week in total viewers (4.5 million vs. 4.3 million). From its first half-hour to its second, "Crisis" maintained its adult 18-49 rating (1.0 vs. 1.0), despite the 10 p.m. hour. This week's "Crisis" retained 100% of its lead-in from "Believe" in 18-49 and grew versus lead-in by 5% in total viewers. L+7 Time-Shifting: The March 23 "Crisis" grew in L+7 by 58% or 0.75 of a rating point in 18-49 (to a 2.04 from a 1.29).
