UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - April 29, 2014 - With "The Voice" and "The Blacklist" accounting for three of the week's top five rankings among primetime programs on the Big 4 networks, NBC has averaged a 1.3 rating, 4 share in adults 18-49 and 5.4 million viewers overall for the week of April 14-20, according to "live plus same day" viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.

The Monday edition of "The Voice" delivered the #3 adult 18-49 rating for the week on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox, while "The Blacklist" tied the Tuesday "Voice" for #4.

"The Voice" and "The Blacklist" also accounted for three of the week's top five shows on those networks in adults 25-54 and total viewers.

Among the NBC shows in rebroadcast last week were "Chicago Fire," "Revolution," "Law & Order: SVU" and "Chicago P.D."

Through 31 weeks of the season, NBC ranks #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, men 18-49, men 25-54 and all key adult-female demos. It's the first time NBC has ranked #1 in 18-49 this late in the season in 10 years (since the 2003-04 season).

NBC's 2.8 rating in adults 18-49 is the network's top average at this point in the season in four years (since a 2.8 in 2009-10).

Versus one year ago, NBC is up +17% season to date in adults 18-49 (2.8 vs. 2.4).

In total viewers, NBC ranks #2 for the season with an average of 9.5 million viewers, which is its biggest overall audience 31 weeks into the season in eight years (since 2005-06, 9.8 million). Versus one year ago, NBC is up +36% season to date in total viewers (9.5 million vs. 7.0 million). It's the first time NBC has ranked higher than #4 in total viewers at this point in the season in 10 years (since running #2 at this point in the 2003-04 season).

NBC has won 82 nights in adults 18-49 among the Big 4 networks so far this season, more NBC nightlong wins than for any full September-to-May season since 2003-04 (83 wins).

Primetime averages for the week of April 21-27 in adults 18-49 are: ABC, 1.5/5; CBS, 1.4/4; Fox, 1.4/5; NBC, 1.3/4; and CW, 0.5/2. In overall total viewers, the weekly averages were: CBS, 8.0 million; ABC, 6.4 million; NBC, 5.4 million; Fox, 4.8 million; and CW, 1.5 million.

Season-to-date averages are: NBC, 2.8/8; Fox, 2.5/8; CBS, 2.4/7; ABC, 2.1/6; and CW, 0.8/2. In overall total viewers, the season averages are: CBS, 10.8 million; NBC, 9.5 million; Fox, 7.5 million; ABC, 7.5 million; and CW, 1.9 million.

NBC highlights for the week of April 21-27:

Monday: NBC won the night among the Big 4 in adults 18-49, taking six of six half-hours with the #1 and #2 shows of the night, "The Voice" and "The Blacklist." For the night, NBC was #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in all key demographics.

"The Voice" (3.0 rating, 9 share in adults 18-49, 11.2 million viewers overall from 8-10:01 p.m. ET) was the #1 show of the night in adults 18-49 and other key demos. In the time period, "The Voice" was #1 among the Big 4 networks in every key demo. "The Voice" was #1 in the slot among the Big 4 by a 36% margin (with a 3.0 rating vs. a 2.2 for the #2 show on those nets, ABC's "Dancing With the Stars").

"The Blacklist" (2.8/8 in adults 18-49, 11.2 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) matched its highest adult 18-49 rating since Feb. 24 and was the #2 show of the night on the Big 4 behind only "The Voice." In the time period, "The Blacklist" ranked #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in every key ratings measure - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers. "The Blacklist" was #1 among those networks in 18-49 by a 56% margin (with a 2.8 rating vs. a 1.8 for ABC's #2 "Castle").

L+7 Time-Shifting: The March 31 "Blacklist" grew in L+7 by 72% or 1.99 rating points in 18-49 (to a 2.77 from a 1.76) and by 5.9 million viewers overall (17.3 million vs. 11.4 million).

Tuesday: NBC finished #1 Tuesday night in adults 18-49, marking a record 21st time NBC has finished #1 or tied for #1 Tuesday night among the Big 4 networks this season in 18-49, adding to the NBC record for most Tuesday wins in People Meter history (dating back to September 1987).

"The Voice" (2.8/9 in 18-49, 11.3 million viewers overall from 8-9:01 p.m. ET) was the #1 show of the night in adults 18-49 and total viewers. "The Voice" grew significantly from half-hour to half-hour in all key measures, including a gain of +12% in adults 18-49. "The Voice" won the time period in 18-49 among the Big 4 nets by a +47% margin (2.8 vs. a 1.9 for ABC's second-place "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.").

"About a Boy" (1.9/5 in 18-49, 6.9 million viewers overall from 9:01-9:31 p.m. ET) grew +6% week to week in 18-49 (to a 1.9 from a 1.8), making this the second straight week "About a Boy" has generated week-to-week growth in 18-49. "About a Boy" tied as the #2 show of the night on the Big 4 in adults 18-49 with ABC's "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," behind only "The Voice."

"Growing Up Fisher" (1.5/4 in 18-49, 5.8 million viewers overall from 9:31-10 p.m. ET) maintained its 1.5 rating in 18-49 for a third week in a row. "Growing Up Fisher" finished #1 in the time period among the Big 4 in adults 18-49 and other key demos.

An encore telecast of "Chicago Fire" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 4.2 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) tied ABC's original "Celebrity Wife Swap" for #2 in the slot among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49.

Wednesday: An encore telecast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.1/3 in adults 18-49, 4.4 million viewers overall from 9-10:01 p.m. ET) built on its lead-in from an 8 p.m. "SVU" rebroadcast (0.9/3 in 18-49, 4.1 million viewers overall) by +22% in adults 18-49.

A rebroadcast "Chicago P.D." (0.9/3 in 18-49, 3.6 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) retained its full rating from half-hour to half-hour in adults 18-49 (0.9 vs. 0.9) and adults 25-54 (1.2 vs. 1.2), despite the 10 p.m. hour.

Thursday: "Parks and Recreation" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 2.7 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) grew versus the prior week by +11% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.0 rating from a 0.9) and +13% in total viewers (2.710 million vs. 2.395 million). The hour-long "Parks" season finale matched the show's top 18-49 rating since April 3 and generated "Parks'" biggest overall audience since April 20. Note that the year-ago "Parks" finale aired at 9:31 with a lead-in from a special hour-long "Office," which was the third-to-last episode of that series. L+7 Time-Shifting: The April 10 "Parks and Recreation" grew in L+7 by 50% or 0.50 of a rating point in 18-49 (to a 1.51 from a 1.01) and by 846,000 viewers overall (3.4 million vs. 2.6 million).

"Saturday Night Live Presents SNL Shorts" averaged a 1.0/3 in 18-49 and 2.5 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET.

Friday: "Dateline NBC" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 5.7 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) was up +22% in adults 18-49 versus the 0.9/4 for the prior week's 8 p.m. encore.

"Grimm" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 4.9 million viewers overall from 9-10:01 p.m. ET) grew +9% versus its prior original in 18-49 (with a 1.2 rating vs. a 1.1 on April 11) and was up +4% in total viewers (4.9 million vs. 4.7 million), despite being preempted on April 18. L+7 Time-Shifting: The April 11 "Grimm" gained in L+7 by 89% or 1.00 of a rating point in 18-49 (to a 2.12 from a 1.12) and by more than 2.5 million viewers overall (7.3 million vs. 4.7 million).

"Hannibal" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 2.4 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) delivered a four-week high in adults 18-49 (best since March 28), and was up +13% week to week (with a 0.9 rating vs. a 0.8). In the time period "Hannibal" ranked #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in men 18-34 (0.8). L+7 Time-Shifting: The April 11 "Hannibal" grew in L+7 by 86% or 0.59 of a rating point in 18-49 (to a 1.28 from a 0.69) and by 1.3 million viewers overall (3.4 million vs. 2.1 million).

Saturday: "Dateline Saturday Night Mystery" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 5.2 million viewers overall) matched NBC's highest adult 18-49 rating in the slot, excluding sports in 19 months (since Sept. 15, 2012). In total viewers, "Dateline Saturday Night Mystery" jumped +16% week to week (to 5.2 million from 4.5 million) to the show's biggest audience in five weeks (since March 22) and in adults 25-54, this week's 1.4 is a series high. In its eight weeks on the schedule, "Dateline Saturday Night Mystery" has generated NBC's eight top total-viewer results in the time period, excluding sports, in 26 months (since Jan. 21, 2012).

A rebroadcast of "Saturday Night Live" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 2.7 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET), with host and musical guest Drake, equaled the highest 18-49 rating for a 10 p.m. "SNL" rebroadcast since Feb. 1 (with host Jonah Hill and musical guest Bastille, 1.2/4).

Sunday: "American Dream Builders" (0.6/2 in 18-49, 2.6 million viewers overall from 7-8 p.m. ET) grew week to week by +20% in adults 18-49 (to a 0.6 rating from a 0.5) and +11% in total viewers (2.573 million vs. 2.308 million).

"Dateline NBC" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 5.8 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) increased week to week by +25% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.0 from a 0.8), to score the show's top Sunday rating since March 9. In total viewers, "Dateline" delivered its biggest Sunday audience since Jan. 5. These are NBC's top 18-49 and total-viewer results in the hour since March 16.

"Believe" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 4.5 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) matched the 1.0 rating its earned with three of its prior four telecasts in adults 18-49. L+7 Time-Shifting: The April 13 "Believe" grew in L+7 by 72% or 0.73 of a rating point in 18-49 (to a 1.74 from a 1.01) and by more than 2.5 million viewers overall (6.9 million vs. 4.3 million).

"Crisis" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 4.0 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) grew by +11% week to week in 18-49 (to a 1.0 from a 0.9) and +8% in total viewers (4.0 million vs. 3.7 million). L+7 Time-Shifting: The April 13 "Crisis" increased in L+7 by 62% or 0.69 of a rating point in 18-49 (to a 1.80 from a 1.11) and by 2.2 million viewers overall (6.3 million vs. 4.1 million).
